I'ma Love Killer

The world had seemed to freeze as Sora hit the floor, into Cid's arms. Cid did not know what to do except cradle the motionless body in his arms, and scream for him to wake up. Cid placed a cold, dusty hand on Sora's chest to see if he had been alive still and sure enough, his heart had been there, but his beat was slow like if it had been fading. Cid felt a tear slowly come out of his sea blue eyes and land onto his clothes.

"This...can't be, this just can't be happening," Cid lowered his head and focused onto Sora, with a determined look on his face. Sora had let out a few shallow breaths in the middle of his strange slumber, and coughed hard.

“I swear, if you die, I will kick you in the ass for leaving us like that.”

The door that had led into the room where Cid and Sora hit had creaked slowly into an open angle. In the doorway had stood an exhausted Leon, and an annoyed Yuffie; it took them a second to realize what had been going on, but when they looked down at the ground, the both of them dropped their weapons and remained frozen in fear.

“W-w-what the-,”

“No…no...,” Leon fell to his knees and let his dark hair fall over his eyes. His body shook in anger, and he slammed his glove fist on the floor. ”God dammit, how could I-“

Cid shook his head and sighed, slowly laying Sora’s body onto the floor and standing up onto his weak feet. He looked out a window that had been onto his right, and ran a hand through his hair.

“He’s not dead,” Cid began crossing his arms. Leon and Yuffie had looked up at Cid and tilted their heads in confusion as he continued to remain silent. ”He’s just sleeping.”

Leon growled and got up from his spot, looking down at Sora as he slept,” How could you just say it just that easily?”

Cid turned and cocked his head to the side and lowered his gaze away from Leon. The both of them remained silent and when they did, Yuffie walked over to the door, placing his hand on the doorways ceil. The heels of her combat boots hit the floor like the beat of a monotone drum. She turned her head to look back at the two, and she could only feel the tension between the two.

“Guys…,” She murmured quietly to herself, trying to pry at their attention. Neither one of them looked back at her, which had made her feel discouraged and neglected. Cid faced Leon and remained crossing his arms. Leon’s face became cross, and he only sighed.

“Whatever, I don’t have time for this. Where’s [Name], I need to talk to her,” Leon said brushing past Yuffie, going towards the door.

“For a person that was worried for their own friend, as if it had been the end of the world, you just brush off your own ally; great friend you are.” Cid said, sarcastically, causing Leon to turn and glare at him.

“So now you’re going to be a prick about it, yeah- I see how it is,”

Cid came closer to him, and took his cigarette out of his mouth, throwing it onto the floor. He squished it with the bottom of his shoe and faced Leon with a look that you would not ever want to see.

“Look, the only prick here is you Leon. So, do not go around callin’ everybody a prick just ‘cuz you are all pissy about everything in the world. Do the others and me a favor, and leave if you are not going to change,”

“There is nothing to change, and if I chose to leave, then I have my reasons for doing so.”

Yuffie felt a pang in her chest as she saw two of her friends go back and forth in a meaningless fight. She only hoped that they would just stop and focus onto Sora’s situation. However, to her dismay, things got worse, causing her to be thrown out of the room in a panic. When the door slammed into her face, she scooted far away from the door as Leon and Cid fought. Her heart had beaten fast as her anxiety took over, and she just wanted to curl up into a ball, and cry. Leon turned himself around to Cid, and hung his head down towards the ground as Cid’s face went red slightly, as it went to a rage.
