Chapter three

                                                                              What did you do?!

Leia was taken aback when she opened her eyes. "What did you do?!" she asked, deeply confused. "Do you have eyes?" She didn't appreciate Connor's attitude, but she was also incredibly bewildered at the same time. Connor hastily unlocked the handcuffs from behind the chair, and Leia rubbed her wrists, the marks from the handcuffs still visible. Connor grabbed her arm and said urgently, "We need to leave." Leia pulled away, exclaiming, "What do you mean? You can't just snatch someone and then expect them to come with you! That's not how things work!" As she made for the door, she barely touched the doorknob before Connor interrupted, saying, "If you walk out that door, you'll be facing dozens of highly skilled agents, much more experienced than me." Leia loosened her grip on the doorknob. "Now, if you want to take that risk, it's up to you. But believe me, I have a much easier way out," he added. Leia's mind was a whirlwind of thoughts. "what if he's lying to me?" "what if this is all just part of some sort of game?" "But what could go wrong?" "everything could go wrong." "but he might be genuine; after all he just killed his boss"
She finally gathered her thoughts and told herself, "I'll just play along and let Xavier track me down. He'll send backup eventually." she turned around, "fine, I'll come with you," she said crossing her arms. "good, follow me" Leia rolled her eyes, she didn't like the way he was bossing her around Connor ran to a corner of the room and moved the desk to the other side of the wall, there was a door to a basement, Connor put in the 4-digit code on the lock and opened the door, he began climbing down, "Are you coming or what"? Leia forced herself down the stairs. The stairs led to a garage full of cars, Connor walked over to a wall that had multiple keys on it. He scanned each key carefully reading the names of the keychains under his breath, " b.t, l.y, z.b, C.S!" he said grabbing the key off of the hook and rushing to one of the cars, it was a very nice car, it looked expensive. "who's car is this?" Leia asked, Connor walked to the back of the car near the trunk and ripped off a tiny gadget that was attached to it saying "Mine, silly!" "what was that you ripped off?" Connor didn't answer her, he opened the driver seat door and turned on the engine, "do you usually ask this many questions?" he said. He used the key to open the garage door and got inside, Leia opened the door and got in, she didn't have a good feeling about any of this but she knew she was doing the right thing by trusting her gut.
 Connor backed out of the garage and onto the road, he drove for about fifteen minutes before stopping and parking at a closed mall, confused, Leia asked "Why are we at a mall?" Connor was fed up with her questions, "you'll see" he said stoically. Connor started walking towards the mall, Leia followed him up until this point, but she had completely forgotten that she just received a bad beating and her body couldn't support her anymore, so she took one step and completely blacked out. 

Leia woke up in bed, white silky sheets covering her, she was in some bunker, "how did I end up here?" she asked herself. She looked beside her, Connor was sitting on a chair scrolling on his phone. Leia sat up and looked around, "well look who FINALLY woke up," he said. Leia looking around in confusion asked, "Where am I THIS TIME!" "WOAH! Relax feisty pants you're in an underground bunker" Connor replied trying to calm her down. "I wake up in yet ANOTHER strange place," she said, getting out of bed. She looked around examining the place and then said "Why did you do that?" "Why did I do what?" Connor asked "Kill your boss," said Leia "Because he's a criminal and he doesn't have mercy on anyone, all he does is use us as his puppets for his crimes, I was already planning to leave and that was just the last straw" Leia felt like believing him, but she didn't know if she should, after all, he was just an assignment. She walked over to a mirror and looked at her face "That son of a gun gave me a good beating" she thought to herself, looking at the slightly visible bruise on her cheek. From the corner of the mirror, she could see Connor fixing the sheet to the bed she was lying on, his back was facing her and he was unarmed, which gave her an idea. She pulled out a mini tranquilizer she had in the pocket of her dress and ambled toward him, trying not to make a single sound. Moving in a style he wouldn't notice her shadow when she was finally close enough to him, she stabbed him hard in the back with the tranquilizer, causing him to black out before realizing what had even happened.
 Leia then rushed to Connor's phone, which was thankfully unlocked, and dialed a number. A woman picked up and said, "Hello, Airbnb how may I help you?" Leia without wasting any time replied "Yes um, this is agent Russo I urgently need you to dial me to my Agency" In a very rushed tone, the Woman replied "Right away ma'am" Then within a few minutes an angry and worried voice was on the call "Leia! Where the hell are you!?" It was Xavier, "Sir! I'm ok! I'm in some sort of bunker and Connor's unconscious!" "Do you know exactly where you are!? We can't pick up on your tracker signal!" "I don't know for sure but I will open up the bunker and maybe you can track the call" "That could work, but hurry up before that Connor guy wakes up" Leia rushed to the bunker door which was shaped like a circle and had a lock almost as heavy as an Elephant. Leia struggled to turn the lock, She grunted as her hand turned the knob slowly. When it opened she sighed in relief and pulled open the door then she stepped outside and said "Ok sir, it's open I'm outside can you track it?" "Hold on we're getting something," said Xavier. Then there was a moment of silence before Xavier broke the silence by saying "OK! We've got your location, hang on Leia back will be there in a minute" Said Xavier in a very promising tone. "Ok sir!" she said and Xavier hung up the call. Leia then went back inside the bunker leaving the door slightly open for her team find her.
 After about twenty minutes her team arrived "Leia?" called Bella in a whispery tone as she crept into the bunker. "I'm in here," said Leia as she came to the door. Bella hugged her tightly as soon as she saw she was ok, just like Brianna, Bella was also Leia's friend from Junior Academy. "I'm so glad you're ok!" she said as she let go, "And I'm glad you came to save me," said Leia "Hey you three come get Connor," said Bella when she noticed him unconcious on the floor. The three men pulled Connor off of the floor and slipped his hands into handcuffs. Then they dragged him into a black van they had parked outside the bunker. "You look like you took quite a beating," said Bella "I did," said Leia. Bella giggled at Leia's facial expressions and they both left the bunker and made their way back to C.C.S.
  At C.C.S (Covenant Center Sanctuary) Leia visited Xaviers' office and explained to him everything that happened, how Connor saved her by killing his boss and what he said, then she went to her dorm to freshen up. After taking a shower she sat on her bed and contemplated on everything that had happened, and the only thing that occupied her mind was what Connor said about his boss. She felt guilty for letting her team just arrest him even though he had saved her and what he said to her, but she couldn't let him get to her, she was taught from very young that being an agent meant silencing your feelings and logic and following orders.
Leia took a nap for an hour to boost herself for the day and upon waking up Leia received a message from Xavier. 
Hewanted her to talk to Connor under surveillance and try to get some informationout of him. Leia rolled her eyes "Do I really have to involve myselfin Connors' case anymore?"She forced herself to get dressed and go to the room. There she saw Connorsiting at a table still wearing handcuffs. She sat down at the table keepingher distance from him "I don't have all day so I suggest you cooperate" said Leiastaring straight at him "What am I getting interrogated?" asked Connor "Yeah"said Leia "Ok, ask away" he said. "First of all, I need to know your real name,my boss did some digging on you and he Knows Connors not your real name" Connorsmiled "That's impressive, I've been known as Connor my whole life" "Yeahwe're not that stupid" said Leia "My real name is Wyatt" Leia raised an eyebrow"Wyatt?" she asked in disbelief, she thought that name was nice. "I know yournot Lydia so what do I call you?" Leia just looked at him, she wasn't about totell him her real name. Wyattstarted guessing names "Laura? Lauren? Lilly? Or Leia?" Asked Wyatt with asmile. Leia's chest went tight andher face lit up with shock "H-HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?" she asked "Yep, Leia itis" he said "IASKED YOU A QUESTION!" said Leia sternly "your not the only agency with brains, Ialways know who I'm encountering on missions" he said answering her. "so youknow who I am, fair enough" she said, trying to hide her shock "What did yourboss really want from me?" "He wanted names, and your life of course, but the reason why he wanted names is complicated" he said "I'm listening" said Leia. Wyatt told her about his boss's evil plan to ally with another criminal agency and get stronger, and how he was doing it for his gain and to overthrow the government agencies.
