Chapter 4: obsession..that's absurd!

Y/N's POV

It's tomorrow! Rouge announced to me and Shadow that a blue hedgehog, called Sonic would be visiting. I've already met Rouge and Shadow, and even know Shadow hasn't talked to me in a few days ever since I've got here, it's been going good for me. I've been writing diary entries, giving coffee beans to Shadow every once in a while (anonymously, still) and I've been learning how to cook with Rouge.

Me and Rouge are extremely close, but me and Shadow? Never. I don't have the confidence, and I assume neither does Shadow, or he probably doesn't want to talk to me, which is understandable. The moment he met me, I was stinking because I haven't took a shower in 3.. 4.. maybe 5 days? So, I could understand why he despises me.

But, I learned how to take a shower, thanks to Rouge's help. She introduced to me what deodorant is and how to use it, and she even gave me new clothes! Man, that bat is awesome! I don't understand why Shadow is so antisocial with me though... does he talk a lot? I've seen him talk to Rouge sometimes, but he barely speaks... or eats, either.

But lets not get sidetracked. It was 3 AM (Don't ask me why I was awake during that time) and I heard a knock on the door. I opened it and the blue hedgehog, Sonic! He's a hero! OH man... how do I even speak to him-

"What's up! Nice to meet you, I'm Sonic!" Sonic smiled and took my hand, grinning at me with an irresistible smile, that I couldn't refuse, so I had to smile back. I let Sonic in, closing the door and leading him to Rouge. 

"Mm....Handsome..." Rouge mumbled while she was sleeping, and I shook her to wake her up. "Oh! Hi, Sonic!" She smiled and they both started talking. Seems like they were close. I walked over to Sonic, thinking of a million questions to ask Sonic, but I couldn't get them out because I was too surprised to speak. In the presence of a hero...

"Oh... admiring me, eh?" Sonic grinned and patted me on the head. I smiled at him and questions started to shoot out of my mouth like bullets. "So... why'd you come here? And what are your friends names? And how do you guys safe-" I took a breather and decided to stay quiet.

Sonic put his hands on his neck, confused and possibly oblivious on the idea of me admiring him. "Oh... well... I came here to visit you all, but I've never met you before. Name?" Sonic took my hand, smiling once again. "It's (Y/N)." I walked away, but bumped into Shadow. 

"Oh... h-hi!" I blushed and went upstairs. I couldn't even look the guy in the eye. He was intimidating... but not as much as before. Like, each day he'd get more embarrassing for me. I just ran away from him whenever I got close to him. Him. Only him.

Once I went upstairs, I was close to opening the door when Sonic went upstairs, following me and it looked like he wanted to ask me something. "Sonic?" Sonic snickered, "Looks like someone's in love." 

"W-what? I-in love with WHO?" I muttered and rolled my eyes, trying to pretend he didn't ask me anything, but he kept laughing. "With Shadow, silly. You're obsessed, and I can see it." Sonic laughed and ran off, giggling. I blushed and ran into my bedroom, closing the door.

'Obsessed?' I said mentally. 'Me? Of COURSE not!' I continued to think to myself, getting back into my bed, closing my eyes. I was too tired, and I wasn't gonna wake up at 3 AM for this. I wrote in my diary, and shut my eyes, snoring.

Suddenly, I was in a dream. Me and Shadow. At the mansion, sitting alone together. "(Y/N)... you okay?" Shadow put his hands on my chin, lifting my chin up. I couldn't stop blushing, and the movie that was playing started to play a kissing scene.

"Shadow... I love you." I cried and kissed him, and he replied, "I love you too." and we both kissed until we fell asleep.
