i sat at my desk, unable to take my eyes off the piece of paper in front of me. i was dying to know the result but at the same time, opening the paper would feel like a crime.

"open it already. we both know i got the higher score so there's no point in stalling." someone spoke. it was heeseung. it was always heeseung. somehow, he never ran out of words to say.

heeseung. where do i start? he's the most obnoxious, self-centred, entitled brat that i know. he acts like he runs the world, doing what he wants, when he wants. you see, many people would agree with my opinion, but they don't. why? because he's hot.

suddenly because of one redeeming quality, everything else goes flying out the window.

but that's not all. he's the full package. handsome, rich AND smart. yeah. would you believe that this braindead loser next to me could actually put his head to use?

sadly, this just made things worse for me. i believe i am pretty smart and i used to be the smartest in my class, acing every test, top of the class, you know? then suddenly heeseung decides to clean up his act over summer and boom, ruins it all.

i gritted my teeth before looking over at heeseung. ugh, i hated when he smirked like that. he leant against the back of his chair, rocking slightly back, grinning at me, as if he had just said the funniest joke in the world.

"careful you don't fall and knock all the knowledge out of that small brain of yours." i smiled at him mockingly, "and anyways, what did you get on the test last time? wasn't it, hmm, a 89% heeseung?" i asked, pretending to think deeply and feigning remorse for him.

heeseung quickly swung forwards, his smirk quickly disappearing. "i was tired when we did that test, that doesn't count." he grumbled, shaking his head, a couple strands of his hair falling forwards, covering his eyes slightly.

"yeah and the grass is blue. shut up, just accept that you suck."

"here's your test heeseung."

the teachers dull voice quickly snapped me and heeseung out of our little argument. heeseung quickly thanked the teacher before turning his attention back to me. "if i get a higher grade than you, you owe me ice cream." he quickly said.

why would heeseung suggest a bet like this? now? his test paper was still closed so there's no way he could've seen the score. it's a risk. a risk i'm willing to take. i'm better than him at physics anyways, and free ice cream doesn't sound too bad.

"deal." i nodded before peeking at my score scribbled on the page. satisfied, i held it up for heeseung to see. "you owe me heeseung. 100%! there's no way you can beat that!" i said smugly.

heeseung just grinned before showing me his test paper. "think again.."

"how the fuck did you get a 101%."
