Hi. I'll be writing this fanfic in parts.
Hope you enjoy reading. Thank you!Chapter 1
"I expect everyone of you to submit your poems by Monday", Ms. Dew said before signalling the end of the class.
Orm looked over at Ling, her best friend. Scribbling away at her little notebook seemingly too absorbed to even notice the end of class. She walked over to Ling's desk and tapped the girl's shoulder. Ling hurriedly closed the notebook and looked at Orm in a grimace.
Hmm suspicious, Orm thought.
"What are you writing, Lingling Kwong? Is that the poem?" As she excitedly looked over the girl's shoulder.
"Oh no. I was just writing the lecture?", her face grimacing completely caught in a lie.
Orm looked over at the board (there's nothing written on it) and over to Lingling. She raised her eyebrow at the other girl.
"You're a terrible liar, you know that right?" Orm just shook her head at Lingling.
"Hehe. Umm... I was just writing ... something.", Ling said nervously.
"Can I see? Can I see? Please?" Trying to puppy eyes her way into Lingling. She knows that always works.
Lingling averted her gaze, those damn puppy eyes, she thought. "No. No. I'll show it to you some other time, Orm."
What? My foolproof puppy eyes didn't work on Lingling?? That's even more suspicious, Orm thought. But before she can try to convince the other girl, Lingling was already shoving the notebook into her backpack and pulling Orm out of the classroom.
"Let's get some milk tea. I'll treat you." Clearly distracting Orm. Lingling power walked to the exit of the school dragging Orm along.
In Orm's mind, she knows Lingling is up to something but she can't care less, not when there's free milk tea on the line. She knows her Lingling Kwong will show her when she's ready so she decided to let it go. For now.
