Luna just finished her meeting and only then had time to breathe for the first time all morning until afternoon.  She wanted to have lunch before continuing to browse the documents on her table, it was already 2 pm, and she knew she might collapse if she didn't eat, which would only delay her work further.

She sighed as soon as she sat down at her desk. She was so tired and hadn't slept much since yesterday. Last night even when she's too tired and sleepy, Mira's face would inexplicably popped into her mind. She tried to ignore it, to shake it off, but the more she tried, the more she remembered it, like how Mira peeling a shrimp for her, Mira's tender gaze just like the way Mira used to look at flowers and Mira's fleeting smile when she ate the peeled shrimp. So in the end she finally gave up on sleeping and focused on her work to distract herself until 3 in the morning and only manage to sleep for 3 hours.

Until now, no matter how exhausted she was, she couldn't help but think of Mira ' Mira became more beautiful, more capable, more mature, and...sexy'  Luna thought,

Remembering how Mira calmly walked toward her with those cold yet tender eyes yesterday, at that moment, her heart beat faster than usual, just like before when they were in college. She wanted to stop time, walk toward Mira, and hug her.

She thought that after Mira pushed her away, she would hate her, but that didn't happened at all. No matter how hurt she'd been, all it took was a smile from Mira, and everything became insignificant.  She felt disappointed and irritated in herself for being so incapable of controlling her feelings and how easy she is to give in.

Last night's dinner was arrange by her on a whim, simply wanting to be with Mira, and because it was their first meeting in a long time, she couldn't let go so easily. However, Mira's behavior last night flustered her. She knew Mira well, and serving someone or showing such a soft side in public was not Mira's style.  So, she did not stayed long at dinner. She was afraid Mira might have changed or have some motives. They were in the business world now unlike before, and even if she didn't want to doubt Mira's good intentions and character, she couldn't help but have negative thoughts which might be the influence of her staying on business industry for so long having met different kind of people makes her became doubtful.

Luna was lost in thought when she received a notification. She was shocked to see the sender: a message from Mira.

"Good afternoon."

Luna pursed her lips, thinking that maybe Mira's phone had been hacked, but then another possibility occurred to her—just like yesterday, maybe it really was from Mira. She took a deep breath and set aside her phone without replying because she wasn't sure if it was okay to respond.
'No, it's better to ignore it. Maybe it's not her, and even if it is, not responding is the right thing to do, or else she might push me away again, haa.. I need to focus on what's important now,'

Luna asked her secretary to order food and then resumed working while she waited. Although she'd put her phone aside, she still glanced at it from time to time.

...

Mira never thought that brushing her presence to someone would be so hard. She  thought it would be easy, but when she was about to send a message, she suddenly felt lost. She typed and deleted.

"The weather is nice today." Mira looked at her message, then out the floor-to-ceiling window. It was a little dark outside. She shook her head and deleted it again.
"How are you doing?" But Mira deleted it again. They weren't that close now, and it felt awkward to ask out of the blue.

Mira spent two hours trying to compose a message until her secretary arrived.

"Good afternoon, President. EL representatives are already here," Secretary Gomez said.

Mira nodded indifferently. Then, before going to the meeting, she finally knew what to send.

"Good afternoon."

Mira smiled slightly and felt good. She walked toward the meeting room with light footsteps, indicating a good mood.

Secretary Gomez was puzzled by Mira's sudden good mood. She looked questioningly at Assistant Shen, but the latter had no answers either. Even without knowing the reason, they concluded that their President was probably looking forward to the EL meeting, as they were signing a new contract for continued cooperation today.

The meeting was short, lasting only 30 minutes. Mira again considered how to get close with Luna.  Although Namtan had told her to just send a message for the time being, she felt that this kind of gradual approach was too slow and not her style. But then again, she was clueless about this kind of thing, so she decided to search the internet.

Post: How to coax people that you pushed away a few years ago?

Mira waited for an answer.

Loveless: Knock on her door, and send flowers.

Let's hurt each other: loveless, that's wrong. You push someone away, then suddenly show up without notice? What do you think the person is? Shameless! When you push people away, you should consider how they felt back then and what would they feel when you show up all of a sudden

Green forest: The poster is asking what to do, the best answer is to meet the person and talk.

Mira read the comments and felt they had a point, she had forgotten to consider Luna's feelings. Thankfully, she hadn't rushed to get close to Luna. She sighed as she felt that she's really not good to Luna, she felt helpless and selfish.

Secretary Gomez, who was following Mira, couldn't help but look at her President. A moment ago, her President was in a good mood, but now she seemed troubled, and a gloomy atmosphere was surrounding her She couldn't help but speak.

"President, is there something wrong? If you need anything, just tell me."

Mira glanced at her secretary. She remembered that it was because of Secretary Gomez that she'd managed to send a proper message to Luna. She didn't answer immediately until they reached the office.

" Gomez, if I want to get close to someone again, what should I do?" Mira asked.

Secretary Gomez hadn't expected to be asked directly about relationships. 'As expected of the President—very straightforward,' she thought.

Secretary Gomez smiled confidently. "You asked the right person, President. The difficulty of getting close to someone depends on their personality. So, let me ask you, President, what kind of personality does she have?"
