THE JAGGED CLIFFS of Hell stretched endlessly into the horizon, their crimson glow lighting the air with an ominous haze.

Lyra stood at the edge, the swirling winds pulling at her hair as she gazed into the abyss below.

Behind her, Selene and Lea were locked in a hushed conversation, their tension palpable.

Ashton leaned against a twisted tree, his disinterest masking the sharp intelligence in his gray eyes.

Lyra's heart pounded as she prepared to set the plan into motion.

The air felt heavy, as if the very realm itself was aware of the gamble they were about to take.

She turned to her companions, her voice steady despite the fear coiling in her chest.

"Selene, you'll approach Cassian. Play to his need for loyalty. He thrives on conflict, but he'll listen if you offer him a reason to turn on Evander."

Selene crossed her arms, her green eyes narrowing. "And what reason could possibly sway him? He lives for war, Lyra. If he suspects I'm manipulating him-"

"He won't," Lyra interrupted, her tone firm.

"Tell him that Evander sees him as a pawn. Play to his ego. Cassian's pride in his strength rivals Evander's in his intellect. If he believes Evander sees him as disposable, he'll lash out."

Selene studied her, skepticism etched on her face.

Finally, she sighed and nodded. "Fine. But if he kills me, I'm haunting you."

Lyra allowed herself a faint smile.

"Deal."

Lea stepped forward, her steady presence grounding Lyra.

"What about me?"

"You're with me," Lyra said. "We're going to Evander. I'll need your help keeping him distracted. If anyone can sense deception, it's him."

Ashton yawned, stretching lazily. "And me? Or am I just here for moral support?"

Lyra turned to him, her expression serious. "You're our fallback. If anything goes wrong, you'll need to intervene. Cassian and Evander are strong, but they underestimate you. Use that."

Ashton smirked, his gaze flickering with a hint of amusement. "I love being underestimated. Makes it so much easier to surprise people."

Lyra didn't reply, her attention already shifting to the task ahead.

She could feel the weight of their plan pressing down on her, every step fraught with danger.

But there was no room for hesitation.
