-2 Weeks Later-
Niall was back on tour again. I don't like being here by myself much so I go and stay at Danielle and Liam's place with Danielle while she's home. I heard my phone going off but I was too tired that I didn't want to wake up. I picked the phone up slowly and held it to my ear.
“Hello?” I asked tired.
“Hey Mel, I haven't talked to you in some time, what's been going on?” I heard Sky's voice through the phone.
“Oh my god, Sky?” I asked sitting up quickly, “Is it really you?”
“Truly is me.” she said laughing, “How is it living every teen girl's dream?”
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“You know, you're best friends with one direction, how has your life been?” she asked.
“Uhm, it's been the same as it usually is.” I said, “Nothing's changed. Nobody knows that I am friends with them.”
“What do you mean?” she asked.
“Well, I'm never in the news, I never get caught with them while the paps are around and they don't tweet about me.. soooo no one knows.” I said, “Hence why I am still 'unknown'.”
“Oh, well by now I thought you would have Niall as your boyfriend or something.” she said, “I guess I was wrong.”
'I still hate to lie to her.. what if she finds out that Niall and I are dating and she never talks to me again for keeping something this big away from her.' I thought, 'But then again, she may go off and tell others if I tell her now..'
“Are you alright Mel?” I heard her ask.
“Uhm, yeah, yeah I'm fine.” I said.
“You sure?” she asked.
“Yeah.” I said, “Couldn't be any better.”
“Okay...” she said, “I gotta go, I just wanted to make sure that you didn't hate me.”
“Why would I hate you?” I asked.
“Because, you haven't tried to contact me in a couple months. And when I found out that you're parents were back together, I thought you came back with them but your mom told me that you stayed with Niall.” she said, “I just wanted to see if I were still your friend.”
“Oh my god, yes you are.” I said, “I could never replace you.”
“Well, I sure see that you and Danielle and Perrie are quite close.” she said.
“Yes, they are my friends, I talk to them a lot, but they live here.” I said, “I speak with them every day.”
“Yeah, well you could talk to me every day if you would stop thinking about getting into Niall's pants and move back here.” she yelled and hung up.
I fell backwards on the bed and let out a heavy sigh.
'Why the fuck would she go off on me like that? What did I do wrong?' I thought.
I stared at the ceiling until I heard a knock on the door. I sat up and saw Danielle walking into the room.
“You alright?” she asked sitting beside me.
“Yeah, I'm fine.” I said looking down.
“What's wrong?” she asked looking at me.
“It's my best friend Sky.. she thinks that I should be back home with her and my family.” I explained, “But she doesn't understand that this is my home now.”
“She just wants everything to be back the way it was before you left there.” Dani said, “You shouldn't be getting upset because of her. She'll be alright.”
I sighed, “I guess you're right.”
“I am, plus you have to let her calm down. She's probably worked up because you haven't talked to her in a while.” she said.
“I know, but I just didn't have the time to talk to her.. I know that's wrong, since she's my best friend and all, but I just can't find the time anymore.” I said, “I feel like I've failed as a friend.”
“You're not a failure as a friend, Perrie, Eleanor and I still love you. And the guys, they love you too, especially Niall.” she winked.
I giggled.
“And we all know you love us.. Niall more than us but we know you still love us.” she smiled.
I hugged her, “Awh thank you Dani, you really know how to make me smile.”
“Hey, that's what friends are for, right?” she said.
“Right.” I smiled.
“Come on, let's get ready to see our boys tonight.” she yelled and we jumped on the bed, throwing pillows at each other.
We heard someone clear their throat and we looked over to see Perrie and Eleanor standing in the doorway watching us.
“Oh, don't tell me that you never act this way when you haven't seen your boyfriend is such a long time.” I said falling back on the bed and getting up.
“True.” Perrie said, “But, nevermind.”
“Oh you still love us.” Danielle said getting off the bed.
I got dressed and we went shopping for clothes for the evening. I chose a simple black thigh length, strapless dress with some matching heels. Eleanor fixed my hair and Perrie started putting in random flower barrettes into my hair. Danielle fixed my makeup and we put the finishing touches on our outfits and got into Danielle's car. She drove to the arena and we got out.
“Come on, Liam told us that he's waiting outside the back door for us.” Danielle said as we walked towards the back entrance.
As soon as we got to the door Liam came into view and Danielle quickly ran up to him and hugged him.
'Awh they are so sweet.' I smiled to myself.
As I walked closer to the door I felt someone's arms wrap around my waist and turned to see Niall smiling at me.
“I missed you.” he whispered into my neck.
I smiled, “I missed you too Ni.”
“Come on, let's go inside.” he said pulling through the doors and towards their dressing room.
He pulled me inside and closed the door. He pulled me close to him and kissed me.
“I love you so much babe.” he said against my lips.
“I love you too Ni, so very much.” I whispered.
