What Have I Become

Chapter 1

" Mummy! Can you read me a bed time story? "

She smiled and rubbed her little boys head while he cuddled his small teddy bear with one button eye missing.

" Do you not think you're a bit too old for stories? " She smirked and crossed her arms and pulled up a small light blue chair that was small for he size and sat herself down and pulled out a small book made out of hard paper, almost like cardboard and tapped her fingernails on its cover.

" But mummy I'm only 3. " Sticking out his bottom lip and trying to make his eyes appear bigger and as if he might cry.

" Please. " He asked, cupping  his two hands together and held them under his head.

" How can I say no to that face? " She opened the book and covered her mouth and coughed to get her voice ready as her son got comfortable in his bed and held his teddy bear close to his chest.

- 15 Years Later -

" Lex Sebastian Ira! If you do not get up out of bed within the next five seconds I will drag you out of that bed myself and throw you to school! "

I groaned and rolled out of bed and throw the covers back over the bed and grabbed some clothes off the floor to wear for the day and put them on and grabbed my bag and dragged it across the ground and downstairs.

" Well good morning finally, breakfast is on the counter and I'll be back at five and your father will be back at six, goodbye and love you sweetie. " She came over and kissed my cheek.

" Yeah yeah...See you two later. " I rubbed my cheek and went over to the counter and grabbed a plate that had two pancakes and few pieces of bacon and went over to the couch and sat down.

" Goodbye son, enjoy your day at school. " Said my father in is nonchalant voice as he and my mother walked out of the house and drove away to the hospital they made and worked at as two of the head doctors.

I grabbed the remote and changed the channel from the news to the music channel.

" Strange anomalies around the moon and sun, scientists beli-Mama we all go to hell, mama we all go to hell... "

Oh thank God, I can't stand that damn channel. I started to eat the food on the plate and at that moment my phone buzzed to say I've received a message. I pulled it out and read the message:

{ Ace }

Hey Lex where the hell are you?! You said to meet at the school car park at 08:20 it's now 08:35! Get here now I've got to tell you about the night I had last night!

I exhaled deeply and replied:

{ Lex }

Of course, I'll be there in a few minutes so I can hear all about your perfect sex life (!) Hold your damn horses I'll be there in five

I sent the message the got up and scrapped the rest of the food into the bin, put the plate in the sink and grabbed my back and left the house and locked the door walked down the street to school.

When I reached the school I headed to the car park and was greeted with a loud car horn being pumped three times, I winced and walked over to the car and sat on the hood.

" Morning Lex. " I turned my head to see one of my friends, Matthew saying good morning through a mouthful of food, he always appears to have something edible in his mouth no matter the time of day.

" Morning, where's Ace? "
Matthew shrugged and then swallowed what was in his mouth; no sooner it was gone something new was stuffed in and being chewed.

Suddenly, a pair of arms grabbed my waist and pulled me back into a body. " Good morning Lex " Ace said into my ear and buried his head in my neck.

I threw him off and pushed him back and crossed my arms over my chest.

" No, no no no...I am not going to be your next booty call, Ace. " Everyone knew for a fact that Ace James Jason Lubido got around the school and has slept with nearly every student in our year, from one to the next. Rumours have it that the longest relationship he has had with anyone was about a week, until someone new cane into his view and he ditched the current and took the new. Ace didn't care if they were a boy or a girl, all Ace cared about was feeling good in two different ways: Playing on the schools football team and showing of during sex.

Being his friend for years, I knew all his tricks and I for one were not going to fall for them and become one of his toys, oh no, I was not going to be humiliated.

" Blue-Balled much, whatever...Anyways, want to hear how last night with Stephanie Cormacs went? " He raised an eyebrow with a smug look oh his face.

I exhaled deeply, " You're going to tell us anyway no matter what. " But as it appeared, he was paying me no attention what so ever and was going on and on about who good she was in bed and how skilled she is at...You know I'll let your imagination tell you the rest.

As I was pretending to pay attention and giving him the occasional:
" Yeah "
" Oh wow "
" Right "

The out of nowhere, someone tapped me on the shoulder and I turned round to face my other good friend, Jade Invidia.

I whispered under my breathe a " Thank God " And she walked off to behind the car and  followed her.

" Thank God you're here, I couldn't take more of his damn show boating. " I sighed relived and hugged her.

" Yeah yeah you can thank me later. " She smirked and kisses my head, " Trust me no-one, well except Matthew, is interested in Ace in that way. "

Saying that, she did have a point, where ever Ace was Matthew was never far behind him, always listening to him rant on and on...Come to think of it Matthew was always in the stands as Ace practiced and always appeared at his matches...I guess he's really close with Ace.

" Anyway, schools about to start, want to go ahead and leave those two be? " She raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms and fixed her hair, which matched her name.

" Yeah...A little privacy wouldn't kill them. " I fix my bag and head for the school building not looking back at Ace or Matthew, but look stopping every now and again to wait on Jade, her short height not making her very fast, but what she lacks in size, she makes up in strength.
