Finally the last bell of school day finally went! Oh thank God...If there is one praise them. I quickly packed away my Science books and stationary and threw my bag over my shoulder and quickly left the class and ran for the doors and out into the open.
"Ah! The light it burns!" I shouted and covered my eyes with a smirk and a chuckle, took my hands away and walked to Ace's car, being told I'll be given a ride home with him, Matthew, Jade and Olivia.
Olivia was another one of our gang of seven, number four. An average height girl, light auburn hair always tied back in a bun with one strand hanging down. Jumpers that looked like a grandma knitted that hung a bit off her arms - to which were always wrapped around some form of book - with plain old denim jeans and white converse trainers, she was basically a typical or stereotypical nerdy girls, her large round glasses made it a dead give away; paired with her amazing sense of intelligence she was always built up on pride and an ambition to be the best in her classes, I honestly do not think they have made a class or subject our Olivia can't do.
I made it to the car and sat, gently, on the hood of the surprisingly well looked after Audi-TT with a nice, bright red colouring finish. I took out my phone and started scrolling through the pictures and swiping to the left and right, trying to look like I'm doing something while people walked past, humming and whistling as they passed.
" Lex! " Shouted a voice of an all-too-familiar tone. I looked up and noticed the jade green tips and instantly smiled and waved and held open my arms as the small body of Jade jumped and hugged mine tight, followed by Ace, Matthew and number four: Olivia.
" Hey Lex. " Waved Ace as he walked to his car and to the driver seat.
" Heyo L. " Smiled Matthew, well sort of, past a mouth of what appeared to be some form of blue candy.
" Hello Lex. " Quietly greeted Olive, past what looked like an old, black leather bound note book, strange.
I shifted my head past Jade's hair and gave out a wheeze of a, " Hello... ", then coughed and gently pushed Jade off, " Jade I need to breathe, you can hug me later. " I smiled and ruffled her hair. She huffed and fixed her hair.
" You know how I feel about my hair being messed about...I don't know how I can't get my hair looking as smooth as Olivia's or as think and wavy as Matthew's. " She pouted and combed her hair with her fingers as she walked to the back seats of the car, followed by Olivia and Matthew, whom already jumped into the front seat of the car, leaving just me to et in and squeeze in beside the two girls and we were soon off, out of the school grounds and zooming off down the road, blasting Ace's "Top Picks" which weren't really "Top" quality.
" Okay Lex, we'll see you tomorrow then, you know going to town with the gang? Of course you do, be ready for 01:00pm, we'll be waiting outside here...Oh! And you'll be riding with Ryan and Ava in her Jeep, just a heads up. " Jade smiled and giggled lightly as if with not a care in the world, I loved that side of her. Granted she would have her moments of envy and jealousy, but behind that she's a really sweet girl who looks after us, she's like a mother to us.
" Yeah yeah...11, got it you lot, see ya! " I smiled and waved back and walked into my house, as they drove away honking the horn all the way out of hearing. I rolled my eyes, " They're idiots...But they're my idiots. "
I walked into the living room and threw my bag to the couch and fell onto it quickly after it and exhaled deeply in relaxation, " Oh you don't know how much I love you couch, you're honestly a gift to this earth...I curse the person that invented you, you awful, trap. " I smiled and nuzzled into the large, burgundy pillows and grabbed the remote and switched on the TV while still facing down, a skill that I may add I have mastered over the years of lying face down on this couch.
