The Phantom Trials

ANIKAS POV:

They had just been taken out to warm up for the trials..

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE HAVE TO GOUGE OUT THEIR EYES!?" Rura had just explained to Anika and Akina that to kill a phantom you must gouge out their eyes and crush them... "ew.. gross." Said Akina so atleast I wasn't the only one who was grossed out like ewww. I literally had too practice on some chained up Phantoms like WHAT HAS THIS WORLD COME TO? Akina is always miss goody two shoes so she got it first try using her wings to slit the eyes without actually having to touch them,  Genius .

We just kept slitting eyes for about 30 minutes and then finally the master called us 6 into a Forest were the trees seem never ending... the long leaves scattered around the floor and some tree roots unearthed covered in fluffy green moss and in there was something in the distance but before we could realise what it was the master had shut the doors behind us. WHEN WAS THERE A DOOR? We all agreed with a short nod that we would work together or we would be killed even Fuyona agreed so we all sprinted towards the thing in the distance, me and Akina soared up weaving in between branches but before we could think about it Fuyona was already holding the eyes  of the creature and then crushed them instantly, she was strong! But soon enough we had a new person flying alongside me and Akina it was Hachi! "hi Hachi!" I said I loved their hair and sunglasses they were gorgeous! "Hi!" -long pause- "umm I'm Hachi and I like ... THE ALPHABET!" I was a bit confused... "the alphabet?" She started to fidget with her sunglasses "sorry, it's all I could think of"  "No worries girly! I get confused ALL the time!" -Another long pause...- "I umm I'm non-binary." I recoiled backwards nearly falling out of the air "OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY!" She shot me a kind smile and said "don't worry about it, people get confused all the time." "COME ON YOU SLOW POKES! We have phantoms to kill I am not doing all the work." Fuyona shouted at us from the ground but I was confused. Why was Akina so silent?

AKINAS POV:

My mind is sore I don't know what to think anymore I wish I could just go back to making rice in the countryside rather than fighting phantoms for revenge, I want to go home and sit with my parents making jokes and playing games but I can't anymore because now I'm forced into this world that I don't want to live in, I want to be set free. "You know I could set you free Akina" A mysterious voice echoed in the back of my mind "no more of this slaying phantoms as you could just live normally in a small town with a close group of friends farming rice and playing all day. All you have to do is say yes!" Who are you? I was thinking deeply hoping the voice could hear me "I'm not a numbered phantom as I exceed them, I am Shinigami the leader of the Phantom kind and immortal." So you can hear my plea's? Good, I don't understand your proposal though. If you are suggesting I become a phantom then I respectfully decline and ask you to GET OUT OF MY HEAD! I couldn't hear Shinigami after that but by the time I felt normal again the trial was over already because I had passed out.

RURA'S POV:

"She isn't breathing! Quick get someone who can do medical stuff I AM NOT TRAINED FOR THIS!"  She is strong so she wouldn't faint from a weak phantom and the others are unaware of what happened either so I'm guessing Shinigami is trying to get into her head making her corrupt and dangerous, she could lash out at any moment and hurt someone! Fuyona is down but not as badly and should recover soon, Hachi is already flying around with Anika who was unaffected anyway and that mouse boy should also be up in a moment or so but Akina my sweet child might never wake up...
