Kirby Star Heroes

Chapter 3

Today was a normal day the young recruits were busy. Kirby was helping Meta knight monitor things in the room where the warp stars were kept. One of the warp stars was flashing. It was pink with red and blue marks. "Hey look at that," Kirby said. "Meta knight does that mean what I think it means?" he asked.

"Yes a new star warrior recruit is on popstar and nearby." Meta knight said. "Take, Knuckle Joe, Sirica and B.D. the star will lead you to this warrior," he said. "Now go," he said.

"Yes," Kirby said and took the star and put it in a carrying case. He came up to Knuckle Joe, Sirica and B.D.. "Guys we have a mission," he said.

"What is it?" Sirica said.

"See this?" Kirby asked showing the flashing warp star. 

"No way," Knuckle Joe said.

"What is going on?" B.D. asked.

"It means a new star warrior recruit who was born as a star warrior is nearby," Sirica said. "We need to find him or her," she said. "Is that our mission?" she asked.

"Yes," Kirby said. "Now we better get going," he said. They headed into the woods and were wondering what to expect. 

"I wonder where this person is," Knuckle Joe said.

"Me too," B.D. said.

"Well the flashing is getting more frequent when I move the box to the path to the left." Kirby said. "Which means they are down that path," he said.

"Then let's go," Sirica said.

"I wonder who this person is," B.D. said.

"Me too," Knuckle Joe said. "I wonder if the new warrior is a boy or a girl," he said.

"I hope they are a girl, because no offense boys I care about you and all, but it would be nice to have another girl around," Sirica said.

"Maybe but let's get moving," Knuckle Joe said. They were seeing several noddies. 

"Man this is a lot of noddies," Sirica said.

"This must be where most of noddies live," B.D. said. 

"Yes they sure are spending a lot of their time sleeping," Kirby said. "I heard about noddies, they spend 90% of their time sleeping and the other 10% awake, that is what other star warrior who seen them told me from observing them," he said. "They also told me that when threatened a noddy will pull you into a deep sleep." he said. "But you do wake up after at least five seconds to five hours at most," he said.

"The blinking is getting more frequent and brighter," Knuckle Joe said. "We are getting closer," he said.

They kept heading through when they heard happy laughter. They saw kid there who was with noddies and dress like one actively playing. But he was bigger than the other noddies, including the noddy children. "Marx go to sleep," one of the noddy adults said. "It's sleep time," he said.

"I am not tired," Marx said. "I am full of energy and happy," he said.

"Jerald remember Marx isn't a noddy," another noddy grumbled. "We only raised him, he won't ever act like us," he said.

"Fair enough," Jerald said.

"Marx if you are going to be noisy and play go somewhere where you won't wake up anyone," another noddy said.

"Sure pop," Marx said and saw the recruits. "Who are you guys?" he asked.

"I am Knuckle Joe," Knuckle Joe said.

"I am Sirica," Sirica said.

"I am Bandana Waddle Dee but my friends call me B.D.," B.D. said.

"I am Kirby," Kirby said. Then they saw the warp star glowing and floating towards Marx and touched him. "Marx we need to talk," he said.

"About what?" Marx asked.

"What do you need to talk to my boy about?" an older noddy asked coming up.

"It is kind of hard to explain," Kirby said. "The thing is Marx has been born as a star warrior and that is the warp star that chose him, now he needs to come with us for his training," he said.

"Me one of those amazing Star warriors?" Marx asked.

"Yes," Knuckle Joe said. 

"I knew Marx was different from when I found him as a baby," the old noddy said. "The other noddies and I we raised Marx," he said. "But Marx learned very quickly once he was bit older he wasn't a noddy," he said. "Unlike the rest of us who spend over 90% of the time sleeping and the other 10% awake. Marx spent at least 80% awake and 20% asleep," he said. "Marx knew right then we adopted him," he said. "I wish I know what he was or where he came from, and I wish I knew he was going to be a star warrior," he said. "If I had know I would've sent him there right away," he said.

"It's okay pop you didn't know," Marx said.

"Well come with us Marx let's go," Kirby said.

"Take care of yourself son," Pop Noddy said.

Marx followed Kirby and the others back to Dream land. Marx saw there were a lot of people there called cappies. They made it to the palace of king Dedede. "here we are," Knuckle Joe said. They went into Meta knights corridors. 

"You must be the new star warrior," Meta knight said. "What is your name young man?" he asked.

"Marx," Marx said.

"Marx was raised by a group of noddies from infancy," Sirica said. 

"Yes I knew I was different from the noddies very early on, I spent more time awake and less time asleep." Marx said. "I knew right then I wasn't a noddy," he said. "I don't know what I am or where I came from," he said.

"Well Marx I am glad to have you here with us," Meta knight said. "You are most welcome here," he said. "Now are you ready to begin training?" he asked.

"Sure," Marx said.

"But first let us show you where you will be staying," Meta knight said.

Marx saw the room where he was going to be staying. "You will be my roommate," B.D. said. "I got the bottom bunk so the top bunk is yours," he said.

"Um how can I climb up there I don't have arms," Marx said. 

"Hmm good point," B.D. said. "I got it be right back." he said then he quickly took down the ladder and put together stairs. "There you go, now you can climb up," he said.

"Much better," Marx said. "Thanks," he said.

"No problem," B.D. said.

Marx was soon getting to know his new fellow recruits. The others were getting to know Marx. They discovered Marx could be kind of mischievous. He loved to pull jokes and pranks. He found it to be very amusing.  The others sometimes found his jokes and pranks to be funny.

Now there was a new friend with them. The group of recruits will keep on growing too.
