Demon Slayer (but off wish or something)

Episode 1 - Cruelty

Each chapter will be called an episode, but it won't actually have all the events in them or may have details that were in the next.

Nezuko’s whole family died. Enmu was the only one that still had a pulse. She was running to a nearby village to find a doctor when Enmu started to lift his head. With a growl, he moved, causing Nezuko to slip on the snow and lose her footing. Nezuko yelped and fell, landing in the snow. A thought popped up in her head. ‘The snow made me slip… but it also broke my fall.’ She then sat up. ‘Where is Enmu??’

Nezuko looked around, and he was standing. Blood covered his clothes, both his and their family’s. Nezuko stood and opened her mouth to speak. “Enmu, you shouldn't be standing! Here, let me carry you to a doctor!” Nezuko walked over to him yet he didn't seem like himself. “Enmu…?”

Enmu launched himself at Nezuko, who grabbed her hatchet and blocked his attempt to bite her. Enmu bit the hatchet instead, his sharp fangs latched onto the wood handle. Tears formed in Nezuko’s eyes. “Enmu, stop! This isn't you!” She cried, shaking her head.

She felt a wet drop fall on her face as a tear fell from Enmu’s face. A stranger's presence could be noticed and Nezuko grabbed Enmu and rolled away before the stranger holding a sword could hit them. The stranger gave them a shocked look and turned to them. Nezuko looked up as well.

“Why did you protect him?” The stranger asked, her tone seemed dark. She had black hair that hung past her shoulders and light blue eyes. She wore a strange uniform and a dark blue haori.

“Because,” Nezuko started. “Because he is my brother!” she finished, wrapping her arms around the young male.

The stranger gave me an unreadable look. “Well your ‘brother’ is actually a demon, and as a demon slayer, it's my job to kill him.” she said bluntly. “Now move out of the way.”

Nezuko leaned forward to protect Enmu before realizing that the stranger had somehow already snatched him. She looked up at the stranger as she stabbed the sword in her hand into Enmu's shoulder. Shock and fear filled Nezuko’s eyes as Enmu let out a pained yelp. She bent over and bowed, tears rolling down her face.

“Please… don't kill him…” she sobbed quietly. “My whole family was killed and he is the only one left…” the stranger looked at Nezuko.

“STAND UP!” The stranger yelled. “STOP BOWING YOUR HEAD LIKE THAT AND FIGHT! YOU ARE GIVING ME, THE ENEMY AN OPENING AND I COULD EASILY KILL YOU RIGHT NOW! IF BEGGING AND PLEADING ACTUALLY HELPED, THEN MAYBE YOUR FAMILY WOULDN'T BE DEAD RIGHT NOW!”

The stranger's angry surface hid the thoughts from inside. ‘don't give up. I know how hard it must have been for you. Don't give into your emotions.’ she thought.

Nezuko looked up in utter shock. She felt tears roll down her face faster than before. The stranger stabbed Enmu again and Nezuko’s eyes filled with rage. She grabbed the hatchet next to her and ran. She threw a rock and the stranger easily dodged. Nezuko then turned to sprint her way to the older female.

“YOU FOOL!” The stranger yelled, lifting the sword and hitting Nezuko in the back, causing her to pass out. The stranger felt an uneasy feeling and looked up. Nezuko's hatchet spun in the air before hitting the tree right where her head was before she moved it.

The stranger looked in the direction of the hatchet, before crying in fear. As she cried she realized, ‘When She was running behind the tree, she threw the rock to distract me, then threw her hatched.’ she thought, pausing before her thoughts continued. ‘she hid her hands behind her back so I didn't realize she was empty handed. She was planning on striking me after I finished her!’

She had just calmed down when Enmu kicked her away. ‘He is going to kill her!’ she thought. The young demon stopped, turning his way to the stranger while standing in front of Nezuko in a defensive position.

“Enmu would never eat a human!” Nezuko’s words echoed in her ears. Enmu charged, directing his attacks at the stranger. She knocked him out as well.

~{TIME SKIP}~

Nezuko's eyes shot open. A slightly familiar voice instantly spoke. “Oh, you're awake?” Nezuko turned to see the stranger. “Head up {insert} mountain and find an old man named Urokadaki. Tell him that Suma Uzui sent you.” Nezuko nodded. “Do not let your brother out in direct sunlight or he will die, though today should be fine since the sun isn't out. I have to take my leave now, always remember what I have told you.” And with that, the stranger left.

Nezuko turned to Enmu, laying on the ground, alive, just sleeping. ‘I guess I have to start leaving now…’ she thought, standing up and grabbing Enmu.

Thanks for reading the first chapter! I didn't have motivation until today so I got this chapter out a little later than I hoped. Don't expect frequent updates cause I suck at keeping motivation, I have a lot of things going on, I just don't feel like it, or another reason I forgot already. Sorry, not sorry!

Also, can someone tell me how good my writing is? I feel like I write better than some of my friends but idk everything about rules of writing.

This is not my first story btw, I've written many others but I've only finished one that I never actually posted anywhere (because It was my first one that i made in 5th grade).

Why am I still talking ._.
