Underground, at the former hideout.
"Zen! Let's get some food first!" Zed called out to his twin, Zen.
Zen Nelly (17) – mind reader.
Zed Nelly (17) – super sight. Both twins have super speed and can turn invisible.
The Nelly twins quickly left. With their super speed and invisibility, they were able to move quickly and quietly.
"Argh! What are we going to do now? What now? There's only a week left and we haven't made any progress!" Bryle complained.
Bryle (18) – Fire mage, always angry.
"Tss. Maybe think quietly for once, instead of stomping around," Drey suggested.
Drey (19) – the total opposite of Bryle, a Water mage.
"Ever since EA disappeared, he's been like this. Every. Single. Day," Tomo added.
Tomo (18) – telepath.
"Hey, telephone! EA's not dead! I can feel it!" Bryle shot back.
"I said 'ever since she disappeared.' I didn't say she's dead," Tomo replied.
"Well—"
Suddenly, the door slammed open, and...
A pair of Converse shoes.
Jeans.
A denim jacket.
And a smile.
"How's everyone doing?"
"EA!!!"
EA
It had been a long journey to the hideout. I had to be extra careful, making sure no one was watching.
I entered the tunnel, the path leading to the secret underground passage.
Inside the tunnel, where grass and moss grew abundantly, vines and tree roots dangled.
Slowly, I moved the vines aside, and there it was—a hole!
I crawled through and found a river inside, the water coming from the tunnel. It was clear. But still, it couldn't compare to the pristine waters of the Four Arias waterfall, where McD had taken me. I haven't told you about that yet.
This place was closed off, and the depth of the river was clearly visible beneath.
I prepared myself. There was no other way forward but through this river. I changed into my snorkeling gear and packed my clothes into a waterproof bag.
Taking a deep breath, I dove into the water.
I activated the waterproof flashlight that I had asked McD for, and swam underwater, finding the hole leading to the other side of the river.
I swam quickly to the other side before running out of air, and when I reached the other side, I emerged and changed.
There was a door here, and I could hear voices from within. None other than Bryle, with his fiery temper.
