As the crowd grew, and the party became more chaotic, things took a turn. She'd stepped away from her friends for just a moment to grab some water from the kitchen when she felt someone bump into her. She turned expecting it to be someone she knew, but instead she found herself face to face with a stranger who reeked of alcohol and was standing far too close.

"Hey there," he slurred, leaning in even closer, his hand brushing her arm. "Haven't seen you around here before. What's your name!" Sydney forced a polite smile and took a step back, feeling a bit uncomfortable. "Just here with friends," she said, trying to sound casual as she shifted away.

But the guy didn't take the hint. He followed her, cornering her near the counter. "Don't be shy," he insisted, his grin spreading in a way that made her stomach twist. "You look like you could use some company." "Actually I'm fine," she said her voice firmer this time. She glanced around hoping to see Daniel or Madelyn nearby but they were lost somewhere in the crowd. The guy kept talking ignoring her attempts to walk away. She could feel her pulse quickening, a feeling of helplessness creeping over her.

Then out of nowhere, a second guy someone else she didn't know slid up beside her, laughing as he looked her up and down. "Aw don't be rude," he said nudging her lightly. "We're just trying to have some fun."

Panic prickled at the edges of her mind. She took a deep breath, trying to keep her voice steady. "I'm not really interested okay?" But her words fell on deaf ears. The two men continued talking, laughing, leaning closer and Sydney felt herself shrinking back, her heart pounding as they boxed her in. The music and voices around her blurred, and her skin felt hot, itchy. She tried again to push past them, but in the confusion she stumbled back her hand fumbling on a door behind her.

Without thinking, she pulled it open, slipping through a small doorway and slamming it shut behind her. She closed her eyes leaning against the door, hoping to catch her breath. But when she opened her eyes again, she realized with horror that she'd stepped into a dark, tiny closet with barely enough space to move.

Panic flared in her chest as the darkness closed in, memories flooding back of being trapped, helpless and alone. Her breaths quickened coming in short gasps as she fumbled for the doorknob, but her hand was shaking too much to grasp it. The walls seemed to press closer and her vision blurred as her breathing grew shallower, faster.

She squeezed her eyes shut, the panic mounting as she struggled to ground herself. She needed to get out, needed light, air anything but this cramped suffocating space. She was trapped, and her mind spiraled her heart racing as the fear took over. Just then she heard a familiar voice from the other side of the door.

"Sydney? Are you in there?"
