"Mama?" Minerva felt a small hand pat her shoulder, and she sat up in the darkness. "Mm?" Agatha was sitting up too, on the bed, with big eyes and a pout. "I'm scared. There's monsters in the closet." Minerva laughed. "There's no monsters that can hurt you, Aggie." Agatha was not reassured. "Still! Can I sleep with you? Pleeeeeease?" She did not hear a response, but Minerva moved on the bed and pulled Agatha up. "Sleep now."
"I had a nightmare." Minerva hadn't had a nightmare in years, but the war had gotten the best of her and insomnia was kicking in like adrenaline. "I'm sorry for waking you." She also had a tendency to cry; which was frankly very embarrassing, as she also hadn't cried in years, but these got the better of her. Agatha and Cecelia dead on the floor, the Dark Lord in front of her as she seemed to have to suffer the Cruciatus curse over and over again as Death Eaters watched. Then, at the end, she always died by being bitten by that horrid snake of a pet, Nagini. She did not get an answer, but she felt an arm wrap around her waist. "Sleep now."
