“MOVE!” Revy barked, grabbing him by the collar and yanking him back just as the bomb exploded. The blast sent shards of debris flying in every direction, and a cloud of smoke engulfed the area.

Rock stumbled to his feet, coughing and covering his face with his sleeve. "He's insane! He's not just some kid!"

Revy, already back on her feet with her Cutlasses drawn, smirked through the chaos. “Insane or not, he’s got a death wish if he thinks he can take me on.”

The boy’s voice echoed through the smoke. “The wicked must be purged! You’re no different from the others—corrupted souls tainting this land!”

From behind the smoldering pickup truck, the boy emerged again, this time holding the double-barrel shotgun. He fired off a shot toward them, narrowly missing as Revy ducked.

“Rock!” Revy shouted, keeping her eyes locked on the boy. “You want to play negotiator? Be my guest. But if this punk so much as sneezes wrong, I’m putting him in the dirt.”

Rock peeked out from behind a half-destroyed car, trying to gather his composure. He could see the boy’s eyes, wild and determined, glowing in the dim light of the fire. This wasn’t just a job for him—it was a crusade, a mission he truly believed in.

“Listen!” Rock called out, raising his hands again. “We know what you’ve done, but you’re just a kid! You don’t have to keep doing this! Whatever your reasons are, we can talk about it. You don’t have to die here!”

The boy hesitated for a brief moment, his grip on the shotgun loosening. His eyes darted toward Rock, as though considering his words.

But the moment passed quickly. He straightened up, his face twisting into a snarl. “You’re trying to trick me. Just like the others! I won’t be stopped until every sinner is gone!”

Revy growled under her breath. “That’s it. I’m done playing nice.” She stepped out of cover, her Cutlasses blazing, firing off a series of precise shots at the boy. He dove behind another wrecked car, scrambling to reload.

“Damn it, Revy!” Rock shouted, frustrated.

“You heard him, Rock!” Revy snapped, keeping her guns trained on the boy’s position. “He’s not stopping, and I’m not getting killed tonight. If you’ve got some miracle plan to calm him down, now’s the time.”
