Yami lost and Yugi's soul was taken. Dartz saw capability in him and use, instead of being sealed in a stone to be used as a sacrifice Dartz gave Yugi, his own body. But, with a catch, Yugi must work for Dartz and collect souls.
At first Yugi refused and fought against the offer but with one look into Dartz's eyes told him that he had no choice. After the first duel with Yugi barely winning Dartz realized he needed extra help. Gifting the young one power to that of a general would have been gifted by the stone when Atlantis stood.
Yugi's second or first duel with this new founded power went well if not better to what Dartz thought. The power gifted to Yugi was meant to help him in power but an even greater thing happened the boy fell into his inner darkness. At first Dartz could not believe such an innocent person to have such a darkness but he encouraged it nether the less. The more duels he won the greater his darkness became. The more powerful Yugi became.
Yugi now had become emotionless and Dartz now had become more powerful. The child was the best pawn of them all.
Time was near to make use of the sacrifices sealed in stone. Making the final preparations did a known group appeared to save the day. Unimpressed Dartz waved them off and let his best handle it.
Two star shaped hair boys gasped. They never thought they would see each other like this. Yami prayed for this never to happen it was his worst nightmare these type of conditions. Yugi on the other hand saw it as a chance to truly test his new power. Fighting someone with the same dueling technique was a true test.
"Never thought we would meet like this Nameless Pharaoh." Yami's horror'd face only fueled Yugi's smirk. "Duel!" Yami only reluctantly complied to Yugi's challenge.
"Yugi, please stop this."
"Why? Because you fear you will lose? No~ you simply cannot face what you have created."
"What?" Yami took a step back he did not understand.
"You are the reason why I am here, you are the reason for the bitter in my heart-!"
"Stop!" Yami shouted silencing Yugi. "This is not my Aibou, my Aibou will still hold compassion-"
"Well you are too late," it was his turn to intrude on what Yami was saying. "Maybe if you came sooner." Sorrow filled the teen's voice recalling his wishes in the beginning. "Maybe before I found my strength in my darkness." That took everyone by surprise.
The duel lasted an hour a near impossible feat in this game, yet it did. Both stood at 100 Lp and five cards left in their deck. Both were breathing heavily, Yugi was especially taxed holding on eight duel monsters and Orichalcos upon them all.
Yami Drew and it was The Seal of Orichalcos. How it was in there no one knows. "Now, play it Nameless Pharoah!"
Yami played the card with reluctance. Dartz smirked getting an idea to what Yugi was planning and it was drafty, crafty, and difficult. But, he liked it.
The light that was glowing from the seal under them glowed even brighter with another placed on top. "I see you have not learned Pharoah." The teen spat. "Enough Yugi." The elder one barked with venom.
Everyone watched amazed at how the two were acting completely different from what they knew.
The duel ended.
Everyone held their breath.
Yugi looked around the seal had seemed that it was not budging. Did his plan fail?
The two seals became one not even Dartz knew that this could happen. As the seals became one it grew in size pushing everyone with it. The chamber that held the stones was at the edge of the seal. The seal continued to grow and push on those walls. Soon cracks began to form then braking the wall. The souls ran wild as the walls fell. No one payed attention as they kept their focus on the ever growing seal.
Yugi fell to the ground holding his head in pain the mark on his head was starting to burn. His plan seems to work they both say farewell to this world. If one seal needed one soul then two should be just the same, needing two souls. He didn't account for the instability of the combined seals and how it might react. It was not supposed to happen like this.
As the pain increase Yugi looked up to Yami to see him standing expecting to see eyes of anger and hatred. Instead Yugi saw compassion, sadness, and pain in Yami's eyes. "Mou Hitori no boku." Yugi whispered to Yami as he passed out in pain. "Aibou!!!" Yami yelled as he ran over to Yugi's side. "Not again! No!" He called out in a helpless manner just as he was about to call again Yami passed as well.
Dartz chuckled that was quite a show.
The friends stood in shock, fear started to take over them. Their friends dead.
The two motionless bodies that no one would thought would move did and grins on their faces. That duel did not take souls, it changed them. Dartz did not know that this could happen and it scared him. A power he could not control was a lability and a danger.
Hell broke loose, why they were there forgotten. Hell broke loose and they enjoyed it.
