More Rambling

I completely get why Alec was so off put by the gang in Season 1. Because through his point of view two girls and his ex-situationship keep 'coincidentally' bumping into him, and continously trying to pester him. As the audience we know they aren't stalkers, but Alec doesn't know that. Like, I'd behave a little rude towards them too.

Rant? Analysis. Sorta
I'm not going to give fans too much bs for this one, because I partook in it too. Portrayals of Alec as violent rub me off the wrong way. When I was young, I kept equating Alec's actions as potentially violent or with toxic masculinity, but I now see his actions weren't that.

He's just a kid, 15 in Season 1, 16 in Season 2. Having been forced to mature at a very young age and step into the role of a parent. However, Alec is still trying to experience teen hood through all that. He hangs out with his friends, does stupid things, and gets into petty high school squabbles. "But ye raised his voice that one time and was rude." Yeah, that's called hormones. His frontal lobe is even done forming, he's allowed to be cut some slack for being edgy.

Even when he's outright violent or threatens people, it's because he was provoked to. The ticket booth lady more than deserved a punch. And Aiden kept taunting him. Yet Alec is still mature enough to never actually hurt anyone.

He doesn't get off to hurting others. He only does it to protect himself and those he cares about.(Him being defensive of his friends, and protecting Kyran as children)

The only times he's outright violent is when he murders a dog, and punches Evelyn. He was hired to kill said dog, and it's the only instance of him outright resorting to murder.

The Evelyn situation is more forward, Alec got scared and he reacted. I'd react the same way if someone lunged at me with a chainsaw. But I feel like it's also important to point out that Alec is always on the edge. Alec has put himself in a dangerous situation for working with Yumi. At any moment he could be killed, so it only makes sense his guard would always be up.

Most of his actions are driven by fear, not sick pleasure. The dog bites not because it's violent, but because it's trying to defend itself.

Alec is not perfect, and he's still very much aiding evil, while being controversial himself. But he's not on the same level as Yumi or her henchmen.

Concept
The Virtual Reality episodes were so good for a fantasy AU. The fanfics that could've been written using that as groundwork would've been so cool. I want to write something with that, but I'm still not sure which direction to take it yet.

Headcanon
I like to think Evan is italian. Simply because his family own a pizzeria.

Headcanon
I've already mentioned this elsewhere. But I headcanon that the the other half of Alec's Yin Yang necklace is owned by Kyran. A childhood gift to one another.

It will never fail to disappoint me how I don't know how Celeste and Yumi met. Why she's so devoted to her, I need to know. Lesbianism is the obvious answer, but I need the why.
