the sun graced behind the mountains, its final light softly bleeding into the darkened sky—as if the dimness could replace its warmth, that has now been surrendered into the inevitable dark. shadows stretch and creep through the mountains heights, as if the day was exhaling its final, weary breath. the sky of amber and rose turn into shades of midnight blue, lingering like a fading memory, too beautiful and brief to hold on to. and the world settled to a state of silence, as if mourning the passing of another day, lost to the endless, sleepless nights. and as the sun dips down the mountains, it reminds us that all things eventually come to an end.
