Another late night. Another all-nighter being pulled just to get the research done. It was a habit that Colress had since he worked for Team Neo Plasma a few years back. He knew it was a bad habit, but it didn't exactly matter. Five cups of coffee. The sounds of the monitors and other devices echo throughout the laboratory. It was dark in there, save for the lamp illuminating a small space at his work bench. Colress continued typing down his notes of the research he had done today. He felt exhausted due to his lack of sleep. But, he stubbornly persisted, not wanting to turn in for the night unless he finished the work.

The computer screen felt harsh to his eyes. He stops typing for a moment. He sighs, taking off his glasses for a moment and closing his eyes, just to allow for his eyes to take a quick break and to adjust. He opens them again and puts his glasses back on. He continues to work.

After about half an hour, it was now around 2.00am. Colress began to feel his exhaustion and sleep deprivation overtaking him. He tries to force himself to keep his eyes open, but to no avail. The prospect of falling asleep became tempting to him. He tries to resist, to stay awake, only to fail. His eyes flutter shut as he felt his head hit the work bench.

... It was dark. The familiar surroundings of the lab had dissipated. The sounds of the monitors in the background have turned into complete and utter silence. Colress was no longer in the lab, but instead in an endless void. He hadn't awaken yet. In the void, there was light, a light that was ethereal and otherworldly, it was out of place in the void.

Colress finally opened his eyes. His bleary eyes widen, upon realising he was no longer in his lab, but now in an unfamiliar place. It felt like he was falling. He struggles, only for it to be futile. Then, out of the corner of his eye, he could see his phone in the void. He tries to reach for it, only for it to be out of his reach. The phone suddenly became engulfed in a blinding light. The light in the void fades, and he could see a large, strange looking figure. It looked like... a pokémon?

Then, Colress could hear a voice in his head. Its voice was otherworldy and booming.  "Welcome to my realm, located beyond both time and space. It is well that thou art here." The figure became more visible, more clear to see. The sight that met Colress' gaze was magnificent. The figure looked to be of some sort of deity.

"I am that which humans call Arceus." The voice spoke again. "Colress... Seek out all Pokémon and awaken their full potential, then thou shalt find me once more." Colress tries to open his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He could now finally reach for his phone, which was now engulfed in the light. It all went dark, as he closed his eyes again.

"Wake up!" A voice rang out. The voice sounded like an older man. It was frantic, almost laced with panic. There was a particular accent to that voice. "Ohhh... Do wake up, won't you?!"
