Atlas first needed to check his top attributes using the orb on top of the instructors' table. The table was off to the side by the window, so the students would have room to shoot their best magic when they were done checking for their attributes.
To be honest, the student could show their status cards, but the orb was mainly used to see how much mana a person had. Seeing their top attributes was just a bonus.
Atlas followed instructions and put his hand on the orb. He didn't have to put a lot of magic into the orb because it only needed a little bit of magic to activate. If he put too much, it could explode.
He took his hand off when it had enough of his mana and waited for the results. He stared at the contents of the orb spin around until three colors popped up. He saw red, pink, and yellow in the orb. The colors were intense and bright. Not only that, it radiated a lot of magical energy, enough to make everyone in the room feel suffocated.
The feeling of the mana was oppressive and strong, making everyone feel how much magic power he had.
Instructor Darius exclaimed, "This... I was expecting you to have a ridiculous amount of mana, but seeing is believing as they say. And your strongest attributes reflect your blessings. It's quite amazing to see."
"Amazing..." Instructor Ciaron said while looking at the orb with shining eyes.
"Well, we know you are strong so let's quickly do the showcase part of the assessment and you can be on your way!"
Atlas nodded and stood in the center of the room. Several feet in front of him, a wooden dummy stood in front of a reinforced brick wall. A magic barrier lined the walls of the room so the students could not destroy the room if they missed the dummy.
He thought about what to do and decided that he would do what he did best, coating his magic around his fists and his arms. He trained in martial arts and his magic was incorporated into his fighting style.
Atlas took a deep breath and instantly, his arms and fists were coated with lightning magic. The lightning created this crackling sound as it flickered up and down his forearms.
Then he rushed to the dummy and punched it. Only the lightning magic made contact with the dummy but it still exploded upon contact. Pieces of the dummy flew in every direction.
Luckily, Cairon put up a barrier in front of the desk, so they didn't get hit.
As for the area where the dummy once stood, it was charred with a gaping hole in the floor. The dummy could not be put back together.
"Aww, dang it! I thought I held back a little, but I guess I went too far." Atlas scratched his head. He promised he wouldn't destroy anything but he even put a hole in the floor.
He sheepishly looked at the instructors and bowed his head. "I am sorry!"
Darius waved his hand like he was dismissing his apology. "It's fine. It is replaceable and we can fill the hole in with magic until it can get fixed. Thank you for showing us your magic. You pass!"
Ciaron nodded. "You will be placed in Class A so do your best with your studies. Do not fall behind."
"We will also note that you need some work on your magic control. When the time comes, we hope you won't destroy anything but the dummy, okay?" Darius teased him a bit at the end.
"Thank you, Instructors! I will do my best."
Atlas was only in the room for eight minutes. It was a bit longer than the other students, but it wasn't so long that it was concerning.
