The lights are dimming, the crowd is roaring, and I'm standing in the VIP tent, trying to keep my cool. But holy shit, this feels surreal. This is it—the first Taylor Swift concert I'm attending as her boyfriend. I know every detail about the night—what's coming next, what song she'll play, what she's planning for the show—but that doesn't make it any less exciting.
As I settle into my spot, I notice all the eyes on me. Paparazzi, fans, and people who recognize me from the field all turning their heads as I step into the VIP section. It's like they're all holding their breath waiting for something to happen. And when they see me? Oh, it's like the floodgates open. Screams fill the air.
"Travis! You're here!" someone yells from the crowd, and the noise is deafening. The energy in this place is insane, and honestly, it's a little overwhelming. I glance around, half-smiling, trying to enjoy the moment without getting totally caught up in it.
I see a few familiar faces—her team, friends who I've met through her—and they all give me a nod or a smile. I know Taylor's watching me from the stage. I don't have to see her to know that. She's aware of everything around her, especially when it comes to me.
The music starts, and I take a deep breath. The opening chords of Lover fill the stadium, and I can hear the crowd's excitement swelling. Taylor steps onto the stage, and she's a vision. The crowd's shrieks double in volume. It's a full-on roar as she starts to sing, her eyes scanning the crowd.
And then, it happens. She looks right at me, and the brightest smile breaks across her face. It's like the whole world fades away. All I see is her—standing there, singing Lover with the kind of joy in her eyes that makes my heart skip a beat.
She's looking at me like I'm the only person in the room.
I can't stop smiling back at her, and that's when I realize, for the first time, I'm not just here as a fan. I'm here as her guy. The thought sends a rush of warmth through me.
Later, when she starts Fearless, I'm already waiting for it. As soon as she holds up her heart hands, I do the same. I swear the crowd goes absolutely wild when they see us matching. I can hear the shrieks from all sides as I mirror the move, and Taylor gives me a wink from the stage.
We're a team. We're together. It's a little surreal, but damn, it's a rush. She's singing to the crowd, and yet, it feels like she's singing directly to me.
Then, we get to the surprise songs.
First, she starts Is It Over Now? and Out of the Woods—two of my absolute favorites. The energy in the crowd is insane. People are screaming, jumping up and down, some are even crying. It's a full-out frenzy, and I can't help but laugh under my breath. Taylor knew what she was doing when she picked these songs.
And then the second surprise song? End Game. The crowd goes absolutely feral—I've never seen anything like it. I don't even have words for it, just a huge wave of energy that makes me feel like I'm on top of the world. The songs have this raw power, and I can't help but catch a glimpse of Taylor as she belts out the chorus. She's amazing.
But then comes the moment that totally knocks me off my feet. During Karma, she hits the line where she sings, "Karma is the guy on the screen"—but she changes it. "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs," and the entire crowd loses it. It's absolute bedlam. People are jumping, cheering, and you can see the sheer joy on Taylor's face.
She's mine, and the whole stadium knows it.
By the time the concert ends, the adrenaline is still pumping through me. I'm buzzing, but in a way that feels like I'm floating. I wait outside her dressing room, trying to calm down, trying not to look too obvious or too anxious. It's only a matter of time before she's done with the meet-and-greets, and when she finally emerges, I don't even have to move.
She spots me from across the hall, and it's like the world stops.
Her face lights up like the sun, and before I know it, she's running straight into my arms. I catch her easily, pulling her close, and she laughs in that way I've come to love. She's breathless, but it's not from the performance—it's from something else. She's just so damn happy.
The fans who've gathered nearby catch the scene, and the whispers start immediately. There are a few photographers lingering, and even though the stadium is clearing out, they're ready to capture the moment. Taylor doesn't seem to care. She's just holding onto me, her arms tight around my neck, and her face buried in my chest for a second.
And then the crowd goes feral.
I mean, absolutely feral. There's no other way to describe it. The fans scream, some are cheering, and I can hear their excitement in the distance. The photographers' cameras are flashing like crazy. It's like the whole world just saw us, and they love it. The energy is palpable, and I'm not sure if it's coming from the fans or just from me and Taylor, but I can feel it. Everyone's watching, and I've never felt more alive.
She pulls back just enough to look up at me.
"I'm so glad you're here," she says softly, her eyes sparkling.
I can feel the weight of the moment. It's like a confession, but also the truth. And then, the photographers start snapping pictures like it's their last chance at a headline.
And, well, they've got a pretty damn good one.
The crowd around us is going wild, and I feel like the entire world just watched Taylor Swift tell everyone that I'm her guy. Not just on stage, not just in the press—this moment. The way she's holding onto me, the way she's looking at me, is all the confirmation I need.
I'm the one she wants. And the world knows it now.
It's everything I've wanted, and I never even realized how much I needed it until this moment. It's real. And I can't wait for what comes next.
