Kristen's POV
I walked into my new school feeling like an extreme outcast. All of the deaf students staring at me, I'm an outsider in this world. Why would my mom think that this was a good idea. I made my way to my first class. When I walked in the door one boy caught my eyes. He was fighting with the teacher. "Why can't we have our school to ourselves" the boy angrily signed The boy i later learned that his name was Emmett and that his mother was our homeroom teacher and the guidance counselor . I sighed walking to the teacher "I'm Kristen James one of the new hearing students" she signed and spoke to the teacher. I smiled "My little brother goes here, he's deaf" she signed
Emmett's POV
I'm talking to my mom, Mrs Bledsoe as a girl walks in. She's very pretty with long black hair and green eyes, but she's hearing. Maybe she's nice I'll have to get to know her. If she's here then she must have someone in her family that's deaf. So I leaned a that her name is Kristen. The girl took the last open seat in the room which of course was right next to me. I glared at my mom as she sat down, this is going to take some getting used to. The tables have turned it the hearing girl in the Deaf boys word not the Deaf boy in the hearing girls world.
