Chapter Fourteen: Confrontation

The city was finally free of the White Fang and Grimm's invasion, thanks to the combined efforts of Ruby, Summer, and Jaune, The streets were now empty and silent, the only sounds breaking the stillness being the occasional fluttering of Summer's wings and the soft rustling of trees in the gentle breeze.

Ruby, Summer, and Jaune walked together in the now-silent street, the area around them quiet and peaceful once more.

Jaune and Summer shared their memories of everything they had gone through with Ruby and the Reaper was surprised that everything she saw in her dreams were true

"I...I can't believe it," she murmured, her eyes wide with shock. "All those dreams, they were real. You're..." She trailed off, unable to finish the sentence as her mind struggled to process the situation

Jaune nodded. "it's true," he confirmed. "Your dreams were memories of our time on Earth. Summer and I...we were reincarnated into Kaijus."

Ruby's mind reeled as she tried to accept what Jaune and Summer were telling her. The idea of reincarnation was difficult enough to grasp, but being reincarnated into giant creatures was something straight out of a fantasy novel. "I...I don't know what to say," she admitted, her voice a mix of wonder and disbelief. "This is...this is insane."

Summer placed a gentle hand on Ruby's shoulder, her expression soft and reassuring. "I know it's a lot to take in," she said gently. "But it's still us, just...different. We still love you, sweetheart, and we're here with you."

Ruby looked at both of them, her eyes darting back and forth between Jaune and Summer. The love and care in their gazes were unmistakable, and despite their situation, she knew in her heart that they spoke the truth.

"I believe you," she said after a moment, her voice steady. "It's just...so much to wrap my head around. But I trust you both. And I'm so happy to have you back in my life. Both of you."

Jaune and Summer smiled, clearly relieved by her words. Summer pulled Ruby into another embrace, her wings wrapping around her protectively, while Jaune placed his forehead on hers and closed their eyes

Ruby melted into the embrace, feeling a sense of comfort and security. Summer's wings wrapped around her like a soft, comforting blanket, and Jaune's touch on her forehead sent a shiver of warmth through her. For a moment, all the chaos, confusion, and disbelief faded into the background, and all that mattered was the presence of the two people she loved most in the entire world.

"You Know It's still your Birthday"Jaune said with a warm smile

Ruby let out a soft gasp as Jaune's words broke the silence. She had completely forgotten that it was still her birthday, the chaos of the past few hours having pushed that thought to the back of her mind.

"I...I didn't even realize," she murmured, a hint of disbelief coloring her voice.

Jaune chimed in, a smirk playing on his lips. "We can't let your birthday go without a celebration, right? We have some catching up to do."
