Zuri walked up to Lucius and whimpered. "I know, I'm upset too," Lucius whispered to her. He looked back out the window. The sun was completely out of sight and A full moon started to rise. The Night Ruler was in charge now. The outside looked so innocent but what if, behind the kingdom's borders were monsters and huge, blood curdling wolves that would eat Lucius for dinner. Was his Mother right about needing to protect him? If Lucius did go out could the Night Ruler take him and use him?And if he were to be exposed to the night, he would be vaporized. Or that's what his parents always told him.

He honestly didn't know, and did not want to find out. But seriously, he would risk his life just to see the world for what it was. He thought about it for a second. Was it really worth it though? He could have just waited a few months and he could do whatever. But nope he couldn't wait. He just needed one night. Lucius looked back down at Zuri and sighed excitedly. "Tonights the night," Lucius smiled. Zuri barked. It wasn't going to be that easy. First the hundreds of guards and servants in the castle, informing his parents, then it's the way of escaping. His bedroom window was about 20 feet up, there was no way he would land without breaking something. Guards and guard dogs surround the borders, there was no way he could just walk out.....

Then Lucius got a brilliant idea. He dug through his wardrobe for a piece of clothing that could help him escape, the invisibility cloak his uncle gave him for his 12th birthday. It had a tear in the right sleeve even though Lucius never used it. But it would be fine, he could sew it up with his Mother's sewing supplies. There was no point in wearing the cloak to the sewing room because it was ripped.

Lucius snuck out of his room and quietly went down the hall to the sewing room. Lucius stopped in his tracks when a guard came around the corner. "Your majesty" The guard bowed, and kept guarding the other hallways. It was sad that Lucius didn't know most of his guards or servants. Only his personal ones he knew there names like Elisa, Lilly, Molly and his two personal guards, John and Luke. Lucius finally made it to the sewing room and searched for gray thread and a sewing needle. Everything was great except for the fact that he didn't know how to sew. Lucius sighed and hoped for the best.

He poked himself many times but he managed to kinda sew the hole till it was gone.  He slid the cloak on and he turned invisable. The next step to his plan was easy: Grab something to cover him up when he got out, then he was home free.

We went to his room and grabbed a coat. He already placed a rope by his window just in case. He opened his window and let the rope fall to the ground. Lucius heart pounded hard, making his ribs rattle. This is it. He thought. Then he climbed out the window.
