CHAPTER 10: HER PARENTS

Abhinav left the store after making his payment, while Isha watched him go. Glancing at a dress, she hesitated.

"It's not that bad," Sakshi tried to reassure her.

"But I don't wear this colour," Isha replied.

"Come on, it will look good on you," Kavya chimed in.

"I don't know," Isha said, before walking out of the store.

Once outside, she saw Abhinav, Abhay, and Kartik waiting for them. They then headed to a jewellery store where they browsed various pieces. However, Minakshi advised them not to buy jewellery for Isha since the bride was expected to wear her mother-in-law's jewellery.

Afterwards, they made their way to the lift, waiting for it to arrive. When the lift opened, they saw it was almost full and only a few people could enter. Everyone walked inside except Abhinav. Isha was also going, but he held her hand and pulled her towards him and then left and went down.

Isha looked at him with confusion but he didn't react much. After some time, the lift again opened, and they both entered. The lift closed. It was empty. Isha looked at him from the corner of her eyes while he was staring at the door.

Abruptly, he grabbed her waist and secured her to the wall. Her expression was one of disbelief as she gazed at him.

"What are you doing?" She questioned him.

He first glanced at her lips before meeting her gaze. "Hm, I think I made you upset, right?"

"No," she quikly replied.

His eyebrows went up.

"Really? Then demonstrate it.

"H-h-how?" She broke

"Probably by a kiss or something," he remarked, examining her lips.

"What? Never, and why would I?" She gave him a shove.

He drew her closer, saying, "Come on, I didn't say something illegal; after all, we are getting married in some days."

"Is there something wrong with him, like a multi-personality disorder?" She thought

"What happen? Are you okay"

"N-n-no n-n-o everything i-i-is fine, I-I was just saying that you can wait till we got married then you can kiss me but not now please," she said, with puppy eyes, in response to his question.

He get back and stood straight "hmm okay"

And then lift opened and they both came out.

"Where were you both?" Abhay inquired, his brows furrowing slightly.

"The first lift was full, so we decided to wait for the next one," Abhinav replied, brushing off the question as he walked towards the car.

"By the way, where is Ekaksh bhai?" Sakshi asked, looking curious.

"He's in Mumbai. He'll be here in four days," Abhinav answered casually, glancing at his watch.

"Who's Ekaksh?" Kavya asked, her interest piqued.

"Ekaksh Raichand, bhai's best friend," Sakshi explained with a small smile, as if it were common knowledge.

"The Ekaksh Raichand?" Kavya's eyes widened in astonishment.

"You know him?" Isha chimed in, raising an eyebrow.

"No, not personally, but I've read about him. He's an economics genius, a successful businessman, and... a model too," Kavya said, her voice tinged with excitement.
