"You knew!" Shane began running his mouth.
"Leave us alone!" Maggie replied.
"Hey, Shane, just stop, man." Rick said, trying to stop him.
"Get your hands off me. You knew and you kept it from us."
"I didn't know."
"That's bullshit. I think y'all knew."
"We didn't know!" Maggie yelled.
"Why was she there?"
"Your." Hershel began. "Otis put those people in the barn. Maybe he found her and put her in there before he was killed."
"You expect me to believe that? What do I look like? Do I look like an idiot?"
"Shane, hey, hey, hey." Rick began.
"I don't care what you believe!"
"Everybody just calm down, please."
"Get him off my land!" Hershel yelled.
"Let me tell you something, man." Shane said as he went to shove Hershel.
Maggie slapped him instead. "Hey. Don't touch him! Haven't you done enough?"
Maggie went inside but before she could, Hershel turned to everyone.
"I mean it. Off my land."
Edward's heart sank. Were they just evicted or just Shane?
"Dad? Do we have to leave?" His daughter asked with big hopeful eyes.
"I don't know. Let me talk to him." Edward turned to the door. "In a minute. Let's let everyone cool off."
He carried his daughter to Dale's RV and set her down in a lawn chair. He gave her a book and sat down next to her to think. He noticed people grouping up around the dead and joined them.
It was a short conversation that ended with...
"Bury the ones we love and burn the rest." Andrea said.
Edward watched Shane walk to a truck. This time, he couldn't let him slide. So he followed him. He ended up getting there halfway through a conversation between Shane and Dale.
"-Man, you pointed one at my chest, right? But you just... You couldn't pull that trigger, could you? If I was such a danger, if I was such a threat, what did you do to stop me, huh? I smashed that barn open. I saved Carl. That's me. That ain't you, that ain't Edward, that ain't Rick. That's me." Shane turned to walk back to the truck. "Tell you what, Dale, next time I need a radiator hose, I'll give you a call, man."
Shane started the truck up but Edward made it to the window and leaned into it.
"Man, what the hell do you want?"
"You put my daughter in danger." Edward replied.
Shane scoffed and turned off the truck and got out.
"No. I saved her. I did for you daughter what you weren't willing to do." Shane said.
"You have no idea what I would do for my daughter. What I have done for her."
"Then where was that today?"
"It was between the Walkers you set free and her." Before Shane could react, Edward had already grabbed his gun and put the barrel on his chest. "Now, here we are. Barrel against your chest."
"Go ahead, pull the trigger."
"If you ever put my child in harm's way again. I won't shoot you. I'll burn you." Edward threatened. His eyes flickered with flames. Shane's cocky smile dropped.
