"What are you-"

My words are cut off as Caitlyn begins to plunge the many syringes on the table into lavender. Her chest, her arms, her neck, her thighs, her stomach. Anywhere they could go.

My heart is broken as I watch. An uncomfortable feeling rises in my throat, making me sick as I reach to grab her wrist, stopping her.

"Stop," I say, my eyes hard, but my dry lips tremble. Caitlyn peers down at me. Her face is kind, but there is a hint of understanding evident.

My hands fall from her wrists as her intense gaze pierces my soul. She turns her attention back to her. Caitlyn's hands shake as she reaches out, placing a careful finger on her neck, and pressing her ear to her chest.

There was a moment of silence. The beating in my heart seems to be the only sound as time seems to flow by achingly slow.

And then suddenly, almost as if lavender was a firelight, her body began to radiate. Thin and tiny veins flow through her skin. Igniting her in a glow. She didn't look human as the veins pulsed, leading to the center of her chest.

"Vi,"

My heart stills.

"There's a pulse."

BOOM

A loud crash can be heard throughout both Piltover and Zaun. Shaking the ground. And the people to its core.

The red blood moon in the sky cast a dark shadow, the feeling of fear for the unknown emitting through the air.

And as a single shimmering tear falls down Jinx's cheek,

A revelation paints across Vi and Caitlyn's faces.

The council of Piltover is left with a crating hole in not only their building but in the hearts of the people in their city. As revenge takes on a new meaning and terror takes the place of peace.

The rain came down in sheets, each drops a sharp reminder that nothing ever stayed still in Piltover. The thunder rumbled in the distance, but it was the steady drum of the storm against the cobblestone streets that kept Vi's feet moving, even when her mind wanted to freeze.

She was supposed to be tough, right? Hard as iron, no room for second-guessing or doubt. But as the doors to Caitlyn's house slammed shut behind her, the weight of the conversation lingered, heavy as the dark clouds above. Join the peanut patrol? Me? An enforcer?
