After Rebecca's visit to Luke in Los Angeles, eventually she had to head back home. Now, she was stuck in Luke's house which became hers not too long ago, in bed. Since she was pregnant, she was already thinking about parental leave. Rebecca couldn't wait to be home with her beautiful little baby all day and everyday. She imagined herself with Luke, taking a break off of tour or maybe not even doing a tour or working at all. She imagined watching a beautiful daughter grow up with Luke's pretty eyes and her mother's innocent smile. Then that's when she realised she had wanted a daughter.

"What do you think about the name Nevada?" Indie asked. It had been five weeks since her last appointment and due to her busy schedule, Rebecca could only fit an appointment for herself just now. Indiana had agreed to go with Rebecca because she knew how it felt. Indie was just now entering her second trimester and her belly already looked huge. She was a cute pregnant lady and Rebecca couldn't help but smile at her as she sat on the waiting chair with a pregnancy magazine that rested on her belly.

"Like the state?" Rebecca asked. Indiana nodded her head and looked up from the magazine to look at Rebecca.

"Mhm," she hummed.

"What possessed you to think of that name?"

"Well my mum liked the name Indiana because she met my dad in that state. At least that's what she told me. My dad says it's because she had a crush on Indiana Jones. Anyway, I thought I would further that tradition and name my daughter after a US state."

"I thought Kyle said you were having a son?"

Rebecca had been invited to dinner with Indiana and Kyle two nights before her appointment. Since Indiana had moved in with Kyle, the dinner was held in his extravagant home. His house was modern and displayed a bunch of blacks, greys and whites. The art on the wall and the photos of his family were the only things that had actual colour in it. During the dinner, Kyle seemed so headstrong about the two of them going to welcome a son into the world and not a daughter like Rebecca had just said.

"Just let him think what he wants to. I know what's inside my body and this is a girl not a boy," Indiana mused. She went back to her magazine and flipped the page just as the doctor came in. He was the same Middle-Eastern doctor from before: Dr Ahmed.

"Ah, Rebecca. How are you doing?" he asked, putting his clipboard onto the side table and then putting on a pair of latex gloves.

"Well, thank you. Yourself?" Rebecca exhaled. She had been nervous because she absolutely hated these things. She had a right to be nervous because what if she wasn't strong enough to carry a baby? What if the baby had been defected or something? Things like these always happened and the hardest part about all of it was there was absolutely nothing you could do about it.

"Fine, thank you. Let's get to it, shall we?"

Dr Ahmed sat in the wheeled chair and moved toward Rebecca. He rose his eyebrows at her expectantly before she got the memo and lifted her blouse. Rebecca soon felt a cool gel against her skin and it was beginning to spread around her stomach. She felt goosebumps in her arms and legs and tingles at the back of her neck from the uncomfortable sensation.

"I know it's very cold but you're doing great. If you're nervous, your baby will be nervous. Try to calm yourself so we can see the baby in it's natural state," Dr Ahmed told Rebecca. He gave her a gentle smile and pressed a couple buttons on the computer before the screen started up.

Rebecca couldn't keep her eyes on the doctor's eyes. Part of her didn't want to see the screen and she had absolutely no idea why. Maybe it was the anxiety of becoming a mother and she didn't want a taste of it until her baby was actually born.
