When they logged back in, the memories hit hard. The haunting sound of the GGO login chime and the barren landscapes stirred emotions they thought they'd buried.
"This place... it feels different now," LLENN murmured, gripping P-chan tightly.
But the moment of reflection was short-lived. The arena was filled with mercenaries and rogue players, all vying for control of the final Shard. Among them was a powerful AI boss, a twisted fusion of the Nexus Core and remnants of Arfa-Sys's programming.
"It's using her code," Zairai realized, his fists clenching. "She's still in there."
