The office door was suddenly flung open, and Wang Qiang burst in, looking panicked. Stammering, he said, "Zhou... Zhou Hao, something's wrong! The project... the project has run into trouble!"
My heart sank, and a chill shot up from my feet to the top of my head.
Trouble at the final acceptance stage of the project? How could this happen now?
I felt my heartbeat almost stop.
Rushing to the server room, I was greeted by the blaring sounds of alarms. Technicians wore grim expressions as they scrambled to inspect the equipment, their efforts yielding no results.
"What's going on?" I forced down my unease and demanded sharply.
"The server crashed! Some... some data has been lost!" one of the technicians replied, sweat pouring down his face.
A server crash?Data loss?
This practically meant everything we'd done was in vain!
Dizziness hit me like a tidal wave. Everyone in the company turned their eyes on me, the pressure so suffocating it felt like it could crush me.
Li Dahai walked over with a dark expression. Though he said nothing, the disappointment and anger in his eyes sent chills through my heart.
No, I couldn't give up!
Taking a deep breath, I forced myself to calm down.
My mind raced, fragments of memories about future technological developments flashing through my head.
Wait! I remembered!
During this period, server crashes like this often occurred because of an inconspicuous hardware compatibility issue!
"I know where the problem is!" I declared firmly. Everyone froze, stunned that I could remain so composed in such a dire situation.
I quickly explained the cause and proposed a solution.
"I'll fix it myself!" Rolling up my sleeves, I dove into the repair work.
Minutes turned into hours. The server room was deathly silent except for the clatter of keys and the hum of machines.
Sweat soaked through my clothes, and my fingers grew stiff from hours of operation, but I dared not pause for a second.
Finally, after several grueling hours, the issue was resolved!
The alarms ceased, the server returned to normal, and the lost data was recovered.
Letting out a long breath, I felt utterly drained.
The project successfully passed acceptance, and I became the company's hero.
Li Dahai rushed over, gripping my hand tightly and announcing on the spot that I'd receive a substantial bonus and company shares.
Looking at my colleagues' envious gazes, a deep sense of accomplishment welled up within me.
Suddenly, a delicate fragrance wafted by. Bai Yao, as graceful as a butterfly, darted to my side.
Overcome with emotion, she threw herself into my arms, tears glistening in her eyes. "Hao, you did it. I knew you could!"
Holding her tightly, I felt her joy and love as my heart pounded fiercely.
Thunderous applause erupted around us. My colleagues' genuine blessings filled me with warmth.
Li Dahai grinned from ear to ear, slapping my shoulder. "Good lad, you're something else! I knew I wasn't wrong about you!" He handed me a check, the figure on it making my breath catch.
