Flickering on the zippo repeatedly the blue-orange flame that glows in the darkness of penthouse. The glow disappears when I snap shut the zippo whole mansion is enveloped in darkness just as my past five years.

Life took a dangerous turn when things turned messy, I wanted one thing that is her but she is far away. The stairs leads to our room, the mansion is quiet just the fabric rustling sound from our room is audible as I climb the stairs, My footsteps echo along with the sudden movement of a rocking armchair .

I know that Ines is not okay with the whole marriage thing and before she could explode in front of her family leading to unwanted problems I immediately brought her to our penthouse after the party. Yes it's ours, everything I own belongs to my wife too.

My father, who was not okay with my wedding, is now happily discussing Ines with his party members. A month ago, As expected he and my mother objected to our wedding. Why wouldn't he be? Accepting his rival's daughter as his daughter in-law is unacceptable to him but I have my ways to convince him before he could join hands with my father in-law spoiling our wedding. So I made sure some party people talked about Anderson Ibbetson's influence in business and politics. Manipulation works faster than emotions and truth, Though it's also true that Ibbetson's influence.

I stop at the entrance of our rooms sensing the environment. Chills creeping in The movement of armchairs continuously rocking back and forth echoes. Dead silence.

Smells like dead . There I come, wifey.

I get the view of my wife facing the window, so calm in the armrest chair, still in the wedding gown that flows over the chair. The veil is on the bed , Hair down where the curls flowing down her waist. I should admit seeing her in the wedding gown almost took my breath away and also expected she was about to say 'No' to everything.

Before she could say it I intervened , if there is any person who can read and understand Ines it is only me. She is like an open book to me, a closed mystery to others and she is mine only mine. I purposely called her dad's name so that she knew what she was risking, Her Family.

"Why are you sitting in the dark sweetheart?"

"I was waiting for you Akil" Her voice low with sweet edge.

Fuck how long it's been since she called me Akil in a sweet tone.

"You should have called me sweetheart. I wouldn't let my wife wait that too on our wedding night. What is that you want? my dear wifey"

I walk in front of my beauty who is facing away from me. The moment I see her face, Calm so calm , Ines is anything but not calm The calmness she excludes now is not what I was waiting for, I expected her to be angry throwing things but now this pulls me into a deeper edge.

"I want you to do the tradition your mother was rambling all evening about" She lifts her gown till the garter is exposed beautifully on her thigh.

"You believe in traditions sweetheart ?" Tilting my head to the side , questioning her action.
