Frost on the Surface

Chapter 5: Morning on Land

    The following morning, "Wake up, Wave." Coral said as she entered his room. "It is your's and Maestro's first day at Royal Academy."

                       Frost groaned but didn't get up.

                     "Don't make me come down there." Coral warned as she sat on the floor.

                                    "Fine, I'm getting up." Frost said in annoyance as he swam up.

                                         Coral smiled at him as she stood back up. "Here, I brought your uniform. Breakfast is in few minutes so, hurry up. I'll be waiting outside your door." She then left the room.

                                             Frost sighed. Sisters. He pulled himself out of the water, sat up and changed into his land form. He then stood up, walked over to his desk and changed his clothes.

                                            "Are you ready, Frost?" Coral asked from outside his room.

                                        "Yes, sis." Frost replied as he left his room. "How'd I do?"

                                               "Um, ask Maestro for help." Coral suggested in reply. She then led him to the dining room where everyone else was.

                                                "Hey, Frost." Maestro said as soon as he saw him. "How's your first night, topside?"

                                                  "Uh, fine." Frost replied as he noticed Cortana was in the room. He sat down at the table next to Maestro as Coral sat next to him. 

                                              "Just so ya know, Frost, princes and princesses don't have class together." Maestro revealed.

                                 "So, we don't get to see them all day?" Frost asked in confusion.

                                         "Eh, mostly." Maestro replied as Cortana gave everyone their breakfast, except Frost.

                                   Which Coral noticed. "Excuse me, Cortana."

                                     "Yes, ma'am." Cortana replied as she turned to her.

                                                  "You skipped Frost." Coral pointed out.

                                             Cortana looked around the table. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize he was staying her, now. I'll let Hydra know." She then walked into the kitchen.

                                                 "Anyways, Maestro what do you mean by mostly?" Frost asked as he turned to him.

                                               "Princes get to have lunch with the princesses but that's it." Maestro explained in reply.

                                         "Oh." Frost said. 

                                                 Maestro shrugged. "At least that's what my sisters told me."

                                                       "That is the case, yes." Twinkle confirmed.

                                            "But why?" Frost asked in confusion.

                                                           "It just is." Twinkle replied. "Oh, also since you're a necklace wearer that means you've gotta take swim class."

                                    Frost raised an eyebrow. "Why? All necklace wearers know how to swim."

                                                   Twinkle sighed heavily. "It's just gym class for us."

                     "Oh, I get it." Frost assured as Cortana brought his breakfast out to him. "Thanks."

                         "You're welcome." Cortana replied as she set it down. "Sorry bout the wait, sir."

                                         "It's all good." Frost assured.

                                     "Now that everyone has their breakfast, let's eat." Shimmer exclaimed as they all began to do so.
