One year had passed since Zoro and Robin had quietly started their relationship, and the crew had continued their adventures across the Grand Line with all the chaos and excitement they were accustomed to. They had faced dangers, made new friends, and uncovered secrets of the world. But through it all, there was one constant—Zoro and Robin’s bond had only grown stronger.
The crew was gathered on the deck of the Thousand Sunny, enjoying a rare moment of peace. The sun was setting, casting golden light across the water, and the air was filled with the scent of the sea and the sound of laughter.
Luffy was, of course, in the center of it all, bouncing between conversations and teasing everyone about food or the next island they’d visit. But today, something seemed a little different. Luffy had been watching Zoro and Robin closely for the past few days, noticing how they had grown even more comfortable with each other. The little smiles, the quiet exchanges, the way they instinctively looked out for each other.
And so, as everyone sat down to eat, Luffy stood up, looking directly at Zoro and Robin.
“Oi, Zoro!” Luffy called loudly, causing everyone to stop talking and look toward him.
Zoro, who had been leaning against the mast, raised an eyebrow. “What now, Luffy?”
Luffy grinned, his eyes wide with excitement. “When are you and Robin gonna get married?”
The entire crew froze, their eyes widening in surprise. For a moment, the only sound was the soft creaking of the ship as everyone processed what Luffy had just said.
Zoro’s face instantly flushed, and he nearly choked on his drink. “What the hell are you talking about?” he sputtered, rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment.
Robin, who had been sitting beside Zoro, blushed just as deeply, though she managed to maintain her composure. She glanced at Zoro, her expression soft, then turned back to Luffy. “Luffy... I think you’re getting ahead of yourself,” she said gently, trying to hide the smile tugging at the corners of her mouth.
But Luffy, in his usual blunt way, wasn’t deterred. He jumped to his feet, his arms raised in the air. “No, I’m serious! You two have been together for a year now, right? You’re always so happy together! Why not make it official? You’d make an awesome married couple!”
The crew burst into laughter, each of them reacting in their own way. Usopp, ever the drama king, leaned back dramatically. “Luffy’s right! You two are perfect for each other. I can already imagine the wedding! All the swordsmen in the world attending, and Robin, the most beautiful bride—”
“Alright, alright,” Zoro interrupted, his voice gruff but amused. “We’re not getting married anytime soon, Luffy.”
Robin reached over and placed a hand on his arm, her smile warm. “But we’re happy as we are. That’s what matters most, don’t you think?”
Luffy pouted, crossing his arms. “But why not? It’s a perfect idea! You both deserve to have the best wedding ever! I’ll even help with the cake!”
The crew laughed again, enjoying the rare moment of easy conversation. Even Sanji, who had been giving Zoro the stink eye for the past year, couldn’t help but smile at the idea.
“I’ll make the cake!” Sanji said, his eyes gleaming. “And the whole banquet! I’ll even cook the most extravagant dishes for the guests. It’ll be the best wedding feast ever!”
Chopper’s eyes sparkled with excitement. “Oh, I could help too! I’ll make sure you two have a beautiful day!”
Zoro, still flushed but now a little more at ease, looked at Robin, who simply smiled back at him. Her quiet confidence made him feel grounded, and he knew that while Luffy’s enthusiasm was a little much, his intentions were pure.
“Maybe one day,” Zoro muttered, his gaze softening as he met Robin’s eyes. “But for now, let’s just enjoy the adventure we’re on.”
Robin nodded, her hand still resting gently on his. “Exactly. Whatever comes, we’ll face it together, just like we always have.”
Luffy, satisfied with their response, plopped back down on the deck, grinning from ear to ear. “One day, huh? Well, when that day comes, I’m going to throw the biggest party ever!”
The crew continued to laugh and talk, and Zoro and Robin exchanged a look—one of understanding and quiet affection. They didn’t need a wedding to know how they felt about each other. They had always been in this together, and that was enough.
As the stars began to twinkle overhead and the night drew on, Zoro and Robin found themselves sitting side by side, enjoying the simple moments with the crew. They didn’t need grand gestures or declarations—what they had was more than enough. But the idea of a future, whatever it might be, was something they could both look forward to in their own time.
For now, they were content with the quiet bond they shared, ready to face whatever adventures came next, together.
