The weeks following Robin’s announcement brought a new energy to the Thousand Sunny. The crew, already a tightly-knit family, became even more protective and supportive as Robin’s pregnancy progressed.
'The Early Months

In the beginning, Robin’s usual calm demeanor hardly wavered, even as morning sickness and fatigue began to set in. Chopper took it upon himself to monitor her closely, creating personalized remedies to ease her symptoms.

“Robin, make sure you’re eating enough and staying hydrated,” Chopper reminded her one morning as he handed her a cup of herbal tea. “Your body’s working hard to support the baby.”

Robin smiled warmly, accepting the tea. “Thank you, Doctor. You’re taking such good care of me.”

Zoro, on the other hand, found himself adapting to a new role. While he wasn’t the most vocal about his concerns, his actions spoke louder than words. Whether it was carrying her books without being asked or ensuring she had the best spot to rest during their travels, he was always quietly attentive.

“You don’t have to hover,” Robin teased one evening as Zoro handed her an extra blanket during a chilly night on deck.

“Tch. I’m not hovering,” he muttered, though the faint blush on his cheeks betrayed him.

~ Mid-Pregnancy

As Robin’s pregnancy became more noticeable, the crew’s excitement grew. Sanji insisted on preparing meals packed with nutrients, much to Robin’s amusement.

“Robin-chwan, I’ve made a special dish to ensure you and the baby are perfectly nourished!” Sanji declared, presenting her with an elaborate plate of food.

“Thank you, Sanji,” Robin said, her smile soft. “It looks wonderful.”

Meanwhile, Franky began making modifications to the Sunny to accommodate Robin’s needs. He designed a special chair with extra cushioning for her reading corner and added railings in key areas for safety.

“This ship’s gotta be SUPER ready for the new little crewmate!” he announced, proudly showing off his improvements.

Usopp and Luffy, though less practical in their approach, were no less enthusiastic. They spent hours brainstorming potential baby names, much to Robin’s quiet amusement.

“Luffy, we are not naming the baby ‘Meat King,’” Robin said with a rare laugh, causing even Zoro to crack a grin.

~The Later Months

As Robin entered her third trimester, the crew’s protectiveness reached new heights. Zoro was particularly vigilant, refusing to let her lift anything heavier than a book.

“I’m perfectly capable, Zoro,” Robin said one day as she reached for a basket of supplies.

“Not happening,” he replied, easily taking the basket from her. “You’re not straining yourself.”

Robin couldn’t help but smile at his stubbornness. “You’re quite serious about this, aren’t you?”

“Of course I am,” he said, his tone softening. “You and the baby come first.”

The crew also began preparing for the baby’s arrival. Nami and Sanji took on the task of sewing baby clothes, while Chopper made sure to have all the medical supplies ready. Usopp crafted a mobile with tiny sea creatures, and Brook composed a gentle lullaby.

Robin was deeply touched by their efforts. One evening, she sat in the galley with Nami and Sanji, her hands resting on her growing belly. “You’ve all made this journey so much easier,” she said, her voice full of gratitude.

Nami reached over and squeezed her hand. “You’re family, Robin. We’ll always be here for you.”

~ Zoro’s Private Moments

Though Zoro wasn’t one for grand gestures, Robin often caught him talking quietly to her belly when he thought no one was watching.

“You’re gonna be strong, like your mom,” he murmured one night as Robin pretended to be asleep. “And maybe a little stubborn, like me. But don’t tell her I said that.”

Robin’s heart swelled with love as she listened, keeping the moment to herself.

~ The Crew’s Anticipation

As the due date drew closer, the crew could hardly contain their excitement. Even Luffy, known for his boundless energy, became uncharacteristically gentle around Robin, offering her his treasured meat stash without hesitation.

“We’re gonna be the best family for this baby!” Luffy declared one night as the crew gathered on deck under the stars.

Robin smiled, her hand resting on Zoro’s. “With all of you around, I have no doubt about that.”

Zoro squeezed her hand gently, his eyes shining with quiet pride. “We’ve got this.”
