Julia was relieved the next morning, when she saw her father make his way out of his tent. She didn't think he would still choose to go into Atlanta, but her father was a stubborn man.
At the moment, she was with Amy and Andrea, folding the dried laundry when, Rick scuffled out of his tent, mailing his way over to his wife. Amy smiled slyly at Julia, who shook her head, folding one of her father's flannels.
Shane and Jesse pull into camp in the black jeep, worth the newley filled water containers.
"Waters here everybody." Shane yells hopping out of the car.
"Remember to boil before use." Jesse reminds.
Julia walks to the back of the car, along side Andrea, to retrieve a container. Jesse grabbed one for her, carefully passing it off. He smiled at her, and she muttered a quick thank you before taking it to where the kitchen set up was.
Amy looked at Julia suggestively, and back at Jesse. Julia furrowed her brows, following Amy's eyes to where Jesse stood. She immediately rolled her eyes, shaking her head. Just then a scream echoes through camp. Julia straightened up looking around for which direction it may have came from.
She takes off down the camp into the woods, with Jesse not too far behind her.
"Mom!"
"Mommy!"
It was Carl and Sophia. If Julia wasn't running fast to begin with, she was now. Just as she met up with Lori, Carl and Sophia ran up to them. She stopped kneeling down to her knees, and nodded at Jesse to follow the others while she comforted Sophia.
"Are you ok nothing bit, or scratched you?" Lori frantically searched her son.
Julia, after looking over girl herself, brought her into a hug.
"You're ok Sophia, you're ok." Julia comforted the terrified girl, who was still shaking. She knew Sophia was the more fragile of the two kids.
Footsteps pounded behind her, and by their owners frantic breathing, she could tell it was an anxious Carol.
"Baby!" She croaks, and Sophia runs to her mother.
Julia stood from her kneeled position, and Carol gratefully nodded at her. She nodded back, before stopping by Lori.
"Is he ok?"
"Yes, yes, he's fine, thank God." Lori stoked her son's hair soothingly.
Julia nods in relief, putting a hand on the young boys shoulder.
"Alright, I'm gonna go to the others, see what's up." Julia explains.
Lori nods at her, but stays in the same place with her scared son.
Julia continued on the path that the others took, pushing through shrubs and branches, until she got to the open clearing that everyone circled. Her father was on the far side, clutching a baseball bat from the RV, he had a disgusted look on his face, and Julia wondered what they were looking at.
