The Drip Plague
The coastal village of Seafall had always been known for its serene atmosphere and endless flow of clean water from the Weeping Well, a fountain said to date back to the time of the two sisters, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna. Ponies marveled at how its water never ran dry, even in the harshest droughts.
But now, something unnatural had taken hold. Travelers whispered of strange, watery figures moving through the fog, and letters sent from Seafall arrived smeared with saltwater, the words frantic and fragmented.
When Twilight Sparkle received a particularly alarming note from the town's mayor, the Mane Six decided to investigate. They arrived to find the town eerily silent, water dripping endlessly from rooftops despite the dry sky. The Weeping Well stood at the center, overflowing unnaturally, its water glittering like liquid glass under the moonlight.
Pinkie Pie, her Pinkie Sense tingling wildly, shuddered. "I don't like this, Twilight. My mane's doing the big shiver—that means something bad is coming!"
