"Can you hurry up?! I know you're trying to look good for your bae but seriously, we're gonna be late!" You friend calls out to you from downstairs.
"Alright, alright. Give me a second." You reply.
You could hear her groan and tap her foot impatiently.
Today was the day that your idol was going to perform live in concert near your area and you and your friend are lucky enough to actually attend it front row! You add on the touch of eyeliner before putting your other make-up away to finally leave your house. You look into the mirror and realize how different you look. Not appearance wise, but emotionally. Your frown was no longer there, but a smile. Your eyes no longer looked dark, but brought light. Your skin glowed from the change, and for the first time in a while, you liked this change. Noticing that time was ticking away, you get your stuff and make your way downstairs.
"Okay, okay. I'm here." You say watching your step.
"Look at you! You look like a rockstar." Your friend compliments.
"Thanks! I tried. Now let's go."
Your friend nods in agreement and sits in the driver's seat and you sit in the passenger's. She starts the engine and the car drove off and a short trip was to be made to meet your idol, Adam Lambert. Throughout the ride, to make your blood rush, you started playing Adam's songs and start singing to them to sound decent when singing along with Adam and hundreds of other Glamberts.
"We should be singers! Like c'mon, we're pretty great." Your friend says sarcastically.
"Oh shut-up. I think we're pretty good." You mock.
"Oh sure. Says the one who is mentally married to Adam and automatically think she's an amazing singer." She chuckles.
"Do you feel that?" You ask.
"Feel what?"
"I feel a hater nearby." You chuckle.
"Oh please. I can't hate on my bestie whose mentally married to someone who doesn't know her." She laughs.
You stick your tongue out at her.
"Hey, why don't you stick that tongue down Adam's throat." She snaps trying not to giggle.
"Maybe I will. Like I have done it many times before so it won't be anything new." You reply.
You friend burst out laughing, not expecting a reply from you.
"Alright, alright. I'm sorry. Respects to you though." Your friend giggles, slowly recovering from her intense laughter.
I lay back into your seat and think about all the scenarios of you meeting Adam and hopefully getting to know each other and starting out as friends then making it's way to something more and living a happy ever after. But knowing that life isn't that way, you depress yourself and snap out of it thinking that today shouldn't be a day of frowning and being depressed, but being grateful and happy.
You both finally arrive to the arena and you are now almost literally out of your seat to see the sign with a poster of Adam.
"We're here! Isn't this awesome?!" You say almost shrieking.
"Yep. Now calm down before you freak people out."
You pout knowing that there are other Glamberts more extreme than you. You see a long line of people waiting to get tickets, but luckily, you have the clever friend to order the ticket online.
"I'm so glad you got the tickets ahead of time." You say while putting your arm around your friend to show your appreciation.
"I know right? Imagine if I didn't." She replies patting your arm.
