IMAGINE:

Raindrops tap on your window, gray clouds cover up the sky where it used to be blue. The sun's absence makes the day gloomy and silent. But you loved this weather no matter how gloomy it was.

You are on your couch while wearing a fuzzy sweater and sweatpants. Your feet covered with your favorite fuzzy socks. The steam rising from your hot chocolate on your palms sends a delicious smell to your nose, making you cherish the moment.

Suddenly, you hear the sound of keys wobbling, trying to open the door and you turn around to see the door opening to only reveal your best friend, Adam.

"Jeez its raining cats and dogs out there!" Adam said.

"I can tell, you're soaking wet!" You say surprised.

"Is that supposed to be dirty?" Adam replied grinning.

"No! I mean like from the rain and all, like I didnt assume you were but if you thought it was like that then I understand but like-" You stutter.

"Whoa kiddo! Hold your horses, it was just a pun." He laughed.

"Yeah... right. I knew that." You blushed but looked away to hide it.

You've had a crush on Adam for years and it grew more and more everyday, but you were afraid that if you made a move, he would flip out and be gone. You didn't want to risk the friendship over some little crush.

"So, what do we have planned for today? I assume we're staying indoors since it's raining out."

"Yeah ummm... well I was planning on going out to like a mall or something but then it started pouring so that kinda changed things."

"Hmmm alright. Well what about if we just movies here and play board games?" He hesitantly suggested.

"I don't play board games anymore but movies it is."

"So it's settled."

You and him prepare the area. You went to the kitchen to make popcorn and he was looking at your shelf full of movies.

"So lemme get this straight, you dont play boardgames but yet you have a lot of Disney movies. I see." Adam announces while still looking for the right movie.

"Yep. That's how I roll. "

He chuckled. You set the timer for the microwave and walked back with Adam. You see him choosing but he is still being undecisive. Then you looked at how the area looked. And as you turned around, you see a flash out your window and thunder that shut out the lights.

"Damn it! Everytime I have you over, something always go wrong no matter how hard I plan it." You say aloud.

"Its alright. I wasn't really in the mood for a movie." He replies trying to ease the situation.

"Then why did you offer it?" You snapped.

Frustrated, you walked to a cabinet to get candles to light up the room. You managed to find it since it wasnt too dark out.

"Well I didn't want to leave when I just got here." He replied.

You lit up the candles and the room began to be twilight.

"Pardon me for making you waste your precious time coming here when you could have done other more important things." You respond.

"That's not what I meant."

"It doesnt matter. This day is just another ruined day like all the times I've tried to be close to-" You stop, knowing you've said too much.

"You've tried to be close to who?"
