Chapter 2

Scarlet POV

The morning sun streamed through my window as I sipped my coffee, replaying the encounter we had last night in my mind

It was the very best night that happened in my whole life. I was busy daydreaming when suddenly Julie burst into my room

Oh yeah I totally forgot her last night

"Scarlet! Where were you last night? I tried calling you para sana sabay na tayong umuwi"

"I was just busy doing something Julie so Im sorry, kaya sabi ko sayo na mauna kana diba" she apologize to her best friend but Julie was not convinced enough

"What exactly your busy about to the point that you forgot that I was with you last night huh? " usisa nito sakin but I just ignored her, and head to my desk where my laptop displayed Kit's social media account

"Seriously? Are you stalking him again?" Julie frowned. "You need help."

"I don’t have time for this, Julie," Scarlet snapped, her attention fixed on the screen

She was busy scrolling to all of Kit's account when she suddenly froze when she saw a photo of Kit with another woman. They were laughing, too close for her comfort

"Ohh it looks like Mr. Wilson has a new girl" sabi ni Julie na mas lalong nagpagalit sa kanya

"Shut up" I growled at Julie but she was just smiling

Arghh I hate her for that. Tumingin ako ulit sa laptop ko and read all the comments and I was instantly pissed ng mabasa ko na puro positive and support ang nasa comment

Her jaw tightened. “Who does she think she is? Kit is mine, mine alone"

Julie sighed. “Scarlet, dont do anything stupid. This isn’t healthy for you so please dont do anything you'll regret later just because of some guy”

"He is not some guy Julie, you know that. He one of a kind and I know he is mine the moment I saw him" I may sound desperate but I dont care at all

"There is literally a lot of guys who wants you Lei hindi lang naman si Kit ang lalaki dito sa mundo. One snap of your finger and any man will bow down on you. So dont waste your life for someone who doesnt know you existed" dagdag na sabi ni Julie but I still didnt listen

"Well sorry to say Julie he already knows that I existed" yun lang ang sinabi ko and I  was already grabbing my keys

“I’ll see you later. I have work to do.”

"Hey saan ka na naman pupunta?? " Tanong ni Julie but she didnt answer and just continue walking

I sped through the streets, my grip tight on the steering wheel as my mind raced, replaying the image of Kit with that woman over and over. The thought of him smiling at someone else, someone unworthy, made my blood boil

I parked near Kit’s office building, a sleek tower in the heart of the city. Pulling out my compact mirror, I checked my reflection, smoothing my hair and putting my red lipstick

I knew every detail about Kit’s schedule—his lunch breaks, his meetings, even the coffee shop he frequented.

"Calm down, Scarlet," I whispered to myself, taking a deep breath. “You’re in control.”

I immediately entered the building lobby, blending in with the crowd.

I scanned the space, searching for him when suddenly I spotted Kit walking out of the elevator, his phone pressed to his ear. My heart skipped a beat.

Fuck kahit may ginawa siya sakin na hindi ko nagustuhan ay tumitibok parin ang puso ko for him

But my joy suddenly vanished when I see that he wasn’t alone
