Over time, Zim had noticed some of the smaller things about the humans in his class. One of those was their excitement about getting their "orders" from a human thing called "Amazon", which often consisted of some type of game. He was mildly confused about how they got packages from a forest, but he hadn't questioned it.
Until, at one point while looking through the thing the humans called "Google", he found that there was a website called Amazon, which made a lot more sense than what he'd previously thought.
He thought back to his classmates' excitement about their orders, and thought that maybe he would try this Amazon thing. Just to gain information, of course. There were some rather interesting things on there, though...
He eventually ordered a lamp that he'd probably never use. He wasn't concerned about wasting the human "money", he could always get more (because that's definitely really easy and not hard at all). He just wanted to see how this worked (look, I needed some excuse for him to meet Tom, okay?).
...
This "Amazon" thing was painfully slow, at least to Zim. He understood a bit more why they were so excited for their thing to finally get there.
When it finally did arrive, he was zoning out on the couch while Gir was watching TV. He heard someone knocking on the door. Zim quickly put on his disguise and got up to answer it.
He hadn't expected the small girl with his package waiting for him on the other side. From what he'd heard his classmates describe, "Amazon" boxes typically arrived via truck, not wagon. But here it was, being handed to him by a small girl with an oversized red jacket.
She had a somewhat blank smile, and was waiting patiently for him to grab his package. He slowly took it from her, deeming her suspicious (which he deemed practically everyone that came to his door), and immediately slammed the door.
Watching through the window, he saw the girl simply shrug and grab her wagon's handle, and continue down the street. She apparently had more packages to deliver.
...
Dib had never really had any issues with money, since his dad was one of the most important (and rich) people on Earth. So he often ordered things online for his paranormal research.
However, there was something he deemed paranormal about the packages themselves, or, rather, the person delivering them.
His packages had normally been delivered by truck, with a tired-looking man bringing them to his doorstep before heading back to the truck. However, recently, the truck and the man had been replaced by a red wagon and a similarly red-wearing girl.
Dib wasn't entirely sure how he felt about her. She always seemed off, never having any other emotion than a blank smile. He also could've sworn that he'd seen her watching him through the window, but when he looked back, she was gone.
She seemed some years younger than Dib, around 10, but she had this odd glint in her eyes that suggested she'd done and seen things that no one at her age should.
He wasn't sure what was really going on here, but he was determined to get to the bottom of it.
