Hospital

Chels, its late.

Elvis woke up to the sound of his alarm, 5am he has to be at the hospital by 7, scrubbed in for surgery on a 21 year old with heart issues. He looked over at me, I had been up awhile now, I looked over after reading the last line of my book. I mark its place, walk over to Elvis, I hug him" it's going to be ok E. We've got this." He tied his shoes, put on his lab coat he kissed me and said" thanks for the pep talk babe" I smiled, I grabbed my work tote." Always honey, let's go do what we do best. Save lives!" I grabbed his keys to his stutz. Handed them to him. He opened the door for me I got in, seatbelt on, he smiled and shut the door and we made it to the or, we punched in, Molly came over,"chels. It's your gram." I put my badge on" what?" Molly said" she came in an hour ago, she's asking for you." I looked at Elvis he said" let's go. Molly thank you, we got it from here" I took off to her room."ma?" Derek and Bailey came over," chels, she's." I said" Bailey she's not dying on my watch alright" Bailey took my grams chart, handed it to Elvis " no, you and I need to talk, have you had lunch?" I said" no" Elvis looked at Bailey she gave him the " she don't have long" look Elvis nodded and he said " I'll take her" I walked with Elvis my gram barley hanging on, she death gripped my hand I said" you have to keep your mask on ma, can't take it off yet." She stopped. She fail asleep. I watched close at her vitals.

It's the next day, I've been up for 24 hours with my gram, Bailey came in,"Elvis is here to take you home, go rest. You've been running yourself on empty" I looked at Elvis and he said" don't you dare apologize. You and I are going to go home, you're going to relax. Understand baby?" I said" Elvis I-" he took my hand and he put my coat on, walking with me to the elevator " and no don't "Elvis I" me, your only human. I'm here" we got into the elevator and we got into the car, drive us home. He said" go upstairs go get a shower, throw on your faveorite comfy clothes, lay down, I'm going to make dinner. You've been running on empty no can do." Lj Haylee Lisa hugged me and watched tv with me. Lj fail asleep, Haylee and Lisa where watching tv with me and E came up with my soup and grilled cheese and he saw the children and said" awe they missed you" I smiled" I missed them. Thank you" Elvis kissed my head" of course. Now lay down and get sleep, I'm here ok?" I smiled, cuddled up to him, Lisa kissed my cheek" come on lj and hay lets let her rest" lj said" night momma." Hay hugged me and said" night momma" they all hugged me and Elvis smiled shut the door, I was asleep. Elvis fail asleep after me.
