The darkness felt suffocating, the swirling black that coiled around his limbs and body weighed him down as he struggled to figure out what was going on. He hit against something hard, a cold feeling forcing him to lie down in agony as his body began contorting itself. Shifting and breaking into things it wasn't supposed to.
He felt something jab into his side, making him lash out in retaliation. Although blind, he manages to grip what hat dared to touch him. It felt smooth, with a flat part that went under his hand.
"It's not letting go of the broom!" He heard a voice call out.
Was that what he was grabbing hold of? A broom? He yelped out as he felt something bash against his head, sending him to the ground with a loud thump. His head throbbed in pain, forcing him to stay down as he tried to register what was going on.
"Susie, don't kick him!" He heard another voice call out.
This one was different, less gruff. He felt something grab onto his upper arms and he roared out, thrashing and writhing. No, no! What was happening?! Did he do something wrong? He screeched out, attempting to lash his claws behind him but with no luck, they firmly had their grip on his limbs, despite how slippery they were.
"Hey, hey! Calm down. You're ok, I'm not going to hurt you." The voice attempted to sooth him, to assure everything would be fine.
Would it? He's just been born from the machine and he already got prodded at and 'kick'ed within his first couple seconds of being alive. He didn't lessen his struggle, only intensifying it upon the voice saying that. Yeah right everything would be fine!
"Henry just stop." Another voice called out from the distance.
This was too many people. How many were around him? How many were going to try and harm him. He let out a guttural roar as he twisted his body to try and headbutt or kick at the one behind him.
"Joey! I-"
"Enough, Henry." The voice behind him got cut off. "Just let it go."
Yes. Yes he just wanted to be free. He doesn't like this. He doesn't like how he's been grabbed at and harmed.
"Joey, we can't just let him wander! He'd scare the other workers. He'd scare guests! I really-"
"Enough, Henry!"
He flinched at the raising of the other's voice, the sound of authority making him stop struggling and instead opt to try and coil in on himself, despite being held up by the arms and having his upper half of his body practically dangling from the person known as Henry's grip.
There was silence that followed. No rustling of clothing, no yelling back. Nothing. Just the sounds of working employees in the background. He then heard a sigh from behind him as he was gently placed on the ground. Though he was too stunned to move, frozen in place.
"Bendy," Joey said, making him perk up slightly. "That was going to be your name."
It was going to be his name? No... No that is his name! He finally managed to see something other than black. A couple of white lines, floating in the void. But then, they grew into longer lines, branching off into more and more lines until... He saw him.
Standing in front of him stood a man. An old man too. Though he couldn't see any colors and just the outline of the man, he felt like he already knew them. Like he already knew this man from somewhere. His train of focus snapped upon watching the man get closer, making him shuffle backwards, growling in an attempt to seem dangerous. It didn't work.
He yelped as he felt him grab him by his horns, making him let out a yell of pain as he got dragged out of the room by them. He could barely hear the muffled yelling of the other people behind him as he got dragged away. After just a few moments of this he got thrown into a small dark room, landing on the ground in a painful tumble.
"You're not the creation I made." The man proclaimed. "You don't belong."
