Tong and Mark had barely made it a few steps from the warehouse when reality hit Tong like a freight train.

He stopped dead in his tracks, turning to face the vampire. "Wait a damn minute. Why the hell did I bring you out here? You should go back to your coffin or whatever."

Mark's eyes narrowed. "After centuries of imprisonment, you expect me to return to that confining chest? Absolutely not."

"Well, shit," Tong muttered, scratching his head. "Fine, but you can't stay with me. You need to find... I don't know, a crypt or something."

Mark's gaze turned steely. "You woke me up. You are responsible for me now."

"Like hell I am!" Tong shot back. "I didn't sign up to be a vampire babysitter."

Mark's breaking the tension. "I'm hungry."

"Of course you are," Tong sighed. "Look, I don't have any blood on me, and I'm not exactly keen on being your dinner."

Mark took a step closer, his eyes glinting with an almost mischievous light. "I don't need to bite your neck."

Tong backed up against the wall. "Oh, really? Then how do you—"

Before he could finish, Mark closed the gap between them, his lips brushing against Tong's.

Tong's eyes widened in shock as Mark bit down gently on his lower lip, drawing blood.

"What the fuck, man?" Tong mumbled, the words muffled against Mark's mouth.

Mark didn't respond, focusing on feeding. Tong felt a strange mix of sensations—pain, warmth, and an odd, tingling sensation. It was surprisingly intimate, and Tong found himself unable to pull away.

After a moment, Mark pulled back, licking his lips with satisfaction. "Delicious," he murmured, before leaning in again to lick Tong's lips, the wound healing almost instantly.

Tong stood there, stunned. "Did you just...?"

"Feed on your lips? Yes," Mark said matter-of-factly. "It's less conspicuous and just as effective."

"You're a goddamn weirdo," Tong said, wiping his mouth. "But I guess that's better than you going full Dracula on me."

Mark smirked. "You're quite the character yourself, Tong. Now, where shall we go? I'm still adjusting to this modern world."

Tong shook his head, exasperated. "I can't believe this is happening. I guess you're crashing with me until we figure out something better."

Mark's eyes twinkled with amusement. "I appreciate your hospitality."

"Don't push it," Tong grumbled. "And no more biting."

"No promises," Mark replied with a wink, mimicking Tong's earlier words.

As they walked back to Tong's apartment, Tong couldn't help but think that his life had just gotten a whole lot more complicated—and maybe a little more interesting, too. "Just keep your fangs to yourself, got it?"

Mark chuckled. "Of course, Tong. I'll be the perfect guest."

"Yeah, right," Tong muttered.
