Authors Note: I'm sorry for any mistakes in the order of events or who did what-it's been a while since I've seen Series 1, so sorry in advance. I would also like to apologize about the 'choppiness' of some of this. It's freeform so it's a bit all over the place in some places. Hopefully you can still enjoy it though.
"Let me help you" Clarke said softly crouching down beside the wounded Grounder who had been left by her comrades. The one hundred had just about managed to defend themselves against the last Grounder's attack but this time they had injured one of the Grounders. The Grounder looked up to Clarke and spat at the ground just in front of her feet with her remaining strength before turning her head away from her and closing her eyes in exhaustion.
"Let's go Princess" Bellamy said already turning away from the both of them to head back to the dropship.
"We can't just leave her here, she's injured." Clarke said gesturing to the girl beside her. She knew that she shouldn't help her, the Grounders were their enemies but there was something inside her telling her that perhaps it didn't have to be that way that maybe they could be friends. Or at least they could not be trying to kill each other all the time.
Bellamy turned to her,
"you can't be serious." He exclaimed. "She's a Grounder. You can't seriously want to help her." Clarke nodded glancing back to the girl beside her.
"I do." She said firmly rising to her feet.
"Look she doesn't want our help and I don't want to help her." He said bluntly. "I say we just leave her here to die." Clarke shook her head in complete disagreement.
"We are not monsters. We can save her life and I think we should."
"She's a Grounder" Bellamy exclaimed as though Clarke didn't already know that.
"Please Bellamy, just help me get her back to the dropship then you can have nothing more to do with her." She pleaded. "I saw you in the woods, I know you're not a killer." She added, "so please help me help her." She said gesturing to the now unconscious Grounder. He sighed as he nodded. He swung his M16 over his shoulder so it rested on his back as he spoke.
"But I'm not happy about this Clarke. And neither will everyone else."
"I don't need them to be happy I just need them to not kill her." She said as he scooped the Grounder into his arms. "Thank you" she added with a small smile.
"If this goes wrong it's on you" he muttered as they headed back to the dropship.
"I know" she nodded.
Naturally there was anger among the rest of the 100 along with fear. Although the Grounder was unconscious and injured she still struck a lot of fear within them and whilst some shouted and tried to get to Bellamy and Clarke to kill the Grounder others backed away to a distance where they thought they would be safe.
Clarke tended to the Grounders wounds, needing to put in only a few stitches to the gash down her side that Murphy had afflicted upon her with his knife. She sat beside the Grounder waiting for her to gain consciousness when Finn entered.
"So Bellamy wasn't lying" he remarked as he saw the Grounder.
"I couldn't leave her" Clarke explained as though she had to justify her decision to Finn.
"I'm glad honestly I am but she will not hesitate in killing us Clarke. Can you honestly say that this was a good idea?" Clarke shook her head as she looked back to the Grounder.
"No I can't, but it was the right thing to do."
"Tell that to everyone outside. Half of them are furious and the other half is terrified." Clarke nodded absently to what he had said as she thought of a way to put everyone at ease. She was quickly pulled from her thoughts by the sound of the Grounder waking up.
