It was the middle of the night, and I suddenly woke up.

I look out the window, only to notice that my parents are standing in the garden, arguing intensely.

"What are they doing up this early..." I muttered to yourself, deciding to quietly step outside to listen to their conversation. Ughhh why are the fighting? Its fucking Sunday, I murmur and step outside the garden.

Isabelle walks out, still in her pyjamas and sits down on a bench a few meters away from the couple, quietly continuing to listen to the fight.

"what's up with you two?" I ask my fathers.

Upon hearing your voice, both of Isabelle's fathers immediately turn around, not expecting her to be spying on them in the night. "Oh, Isabelle... Good morning..." Louis mumbles, a small awkward smile appearing on his face.

"hi. so? what did I miss?" Isabelle asks Louis.

Harry steps forward, placing his hand on Louis' shoulder to calm him down. "Well, we..." He starts, sighing deeply before continuing to speak. "We were just having a small disagreement, Isabelle. Nothing for you to worry about, alright?"

"But I wanna know please" Isabelle adds.

"It's something only adults can understand, sweetie." Louis reassures, his forced smile growing bigger as he steps a bit closer, attempting to pet your head.

In exchange to that, she says "I'm not a small kid anymore"

"I know, darling." Louis replies calmly, still trying his best to stay polite and calm, even though their fight was really intense. Harry gives you a sympathetic smile, as he continues speaking. "But it's an adult fight, and you shouldn't worry about it."

"so maybe don't treat me like one?" she snaps

"How exactly am I treating you like one, Isabelle?" Louis sighs, slowly growing more and more annoyed by the second, his hand gripping onto Harry's shoulder a bit tighter. "I was asking nicely and you immediately said no I dont want to tell you" she explains.

"Well, you just aren't old enough to even understand the situation, sweetheart." Louis states, his tone now stern and annoyed. Harry frowns deeply, giving him a look that says: "calm down, Lou."

"how will you know if I dont even know the situation?"

"Because it's not about you, Isabelle." Louis snaps, now a bit too harsh - making Harry flinch slightly, immediately growing a bit more frustrated with his husband. "You're a kid, you don't need to worry about things that don't involve you."

she frowns. "hey!"

"Don't Hey me, young lady. Now, please go inside, I don't want to argue with you on a Sunday morning already." Louis huffs, now crossing his arms. Harry still remains silent, now placing his hand on Louis' back to calm him down.

"fine!" she stomps back inside, immediately going up to her room again, slamming the door shut.

A few silent seconds pass before Isabelle hears the arguing continue, now even louder than before. Louis was shouting so loud that she could make out most of his sentences, even though Isa had closed the door to her bedroom. She can't help but overhear, a few words catching her attention, such as: "unreasonable", "divorce" and "too much."

Isabelle's eyes go a bit wide as you listen in more carefully, her heart starting to race.

I hear those words and slowly open my window. Tears now streaming down my cheeks, I could hear the fight in the garden.
