"Hm? What are you doing, Lynn?

The child didn't break her focus as she scribbled some lines on a piece of paper with a crayon.

She furrowed her brows when the crayon suddenly snapped in half.

"Rewriting the ending!"

"Ending to what?"

The mother then froze when she saw the very picture book that kept her up last night, right next to her daughter.

"The story you read to me last night. When Akuto died, it made me sad, so I'm making him alive again!"

"..."

Lynn soon placed the crayon down as she smiled at her hard work. The ending she created was now finished.

"Done!"

-

"Akuto, ugh! Stop leaving a mess after you eat!"

You wiped Akuto's mouth with a handkerchief, and he only stared at you with a poker face. You only rolled your eyes when you saw it.

Seriously, how many times did you have to scold him for him to learn?

Taking out a clean rag and wetting it, you started wiping the table.

It has been about four months since you and Akuto escaped the castle together. Since then, you both have been living together in an abandoned cottage a few wheat fields away.

It was a very hidden space, with tall trees surrounding it on all sides.

Kurai and Mamarou also checked on you and Akuto (mostly you) quite often as well. Yukio also often switched between living in Kurai's castle and with you occasionally.

Currently, he was staying in the castle.

Without even realizing it, Yukio had become your adopted child.

Akuto quietly sat down on the couch, waiting for you to finish cleaning.

Even though you scolded him a lot, it made him happy.

He was happy that he could finally live with you and be a normal married couple.

His fantasy would finally come true. He could live with the person he deeply cherished until death. If you happened to try and leave, he would just simply drag you back and trap you like a bird in a cage.

But you would never do that, right? No, he believed you would never run away from him. Why would you ever do that in the first place???

Akuto's eyes darkened as his gaze never left your form once.

He tried initiating many forms of his love, but you were always too shy or pushed him away. It was frustrating, but he always respected your wishes.

He never forced you into doing anything you didn't want to do. All he needed was patience. Just a little more...

To be honest, Akuto didn't want children at all. Only hearing your voice every day was like a wish come true.

After all, Yukio was already testing his patience with how talkative he was.

Especially with you.

Even though you never said it out loud, he knew you were both now officially married. Especially since you never took off the ring he had put on your finger.

He always assumed you were too embarrassed to bring the topic of marriage up again, so he let it be. Having you by his side was more than enough.

"Alright, finished. Akuto, let's go check on the vegetables! They should've sprouted by now."
