2 days later......Everything was changing. Cass' father never left to his own tribe. Has been looking for her for some time now. Never stopping or giving up. He was old, but not broken. Eventually he went far enough out into the mountains, he found evidence of Cass. She had herself cloaked but, still listening. After a few minutes she became visible again.
"Go away." She said angrily. This startled Apollo. "Cass, I'm so sorry." He said. Trying to earn her forgiveness. Cass rolled her eyes. "I don't want to hear an apology. Du skulle være faren min. (You were suppose to be my father. )" She replied. Apollo's eyes turned to hurt. He put his head down slightly and turned away. "I know..." he mumbled. "I feel terrible for you getting taken away like that. Det gjorde meg vondt, jeg hadde bare ikke mot til å si noe. (It hurt me, I just didn't have the courage to say anything. )" He continued.
Cass glared at him trying not to show emotion. "Callie, you can come out." Apollo looked around in confusion as Callie walks out from behind a tree. "So, this is your father?" Callie asked nervously. Cass nodded. "Unfortunately." She mumbled. Apollo knew what she said and sighed. "I'm Apollo. Nice to meet you young foal." He said with a soft smile. Callie shook his hoof in respect.
"I wanted to know you were okay, Cass. That's all. I understand you can't forgive me for giving you up, but, most I can do is make amends before I go." He explained. Cass' eyes widen. "What're you talking about 'go'" she asked. Apollo sighed. "I'm dying, Cass." He said with a frown. Callie took pity on him. Cass had no words, she felt sad but also confused. "You had how much time to make amends, now that you're dying you want forgiveness?" Cass said with tears forming.
Apollo looked down. "I know, it's bad timing. I learned English because if I was going to search for you, I knew you wouldn't be in Norway anymore." He explained. "Everyone deserves a second chance, Cass." Callie said softly. "I instantly befriended you when let's be honest, you look terrifying. But, in a good way. Nobody messes with you." A sweet smile came across Callie's face. Cass giggled softly and nodded.
For about two hours all they did was talk. They were all laughing and having a good time. After sometime, Apollo had to go. "It's been great spending time with you, Cass. This is all I wanted." He said smiling. Cass smiled back. "You too.... Dad." She said softly. Apollo's eyes lit up. A couple tears formed in his eyes. "I don't have much time. Du er sterk og vakker, la aldri denne verden slå deg. (You are strong and beautiful, don't ever let this world beat you. )" He said. Cass couldn't hold it back anymore. She let out a river of tears overwhelming her.
Callie even showed some tears. Within just a few minutes, Apollo collapsed into Cass' hooves. "Nei, Nei, Nei! (No, No, No!) Cass let out a soft whimper with faint tears. Apollo passed away with a smile. Cass laid next to him for a little while in silence. Callie gave her her space. After a few moments, Cass stood up. "In our tribe tradition, we bury our loved ones at sea." Cass said softly. Callie gave a weird look then shook her head.
"How?" She asked. "Magic." Cass replied. She used her magic from her horn to fly her father over the sea. Instead of flying him. She said her few words then dropped him into the sea. She casted her spell to put an anchor on his body and take him to the ocean floor. She walked over to a tree and laid out on the sun. "Are you okay?" Callie asked. Cass closed her eyes and nodded slowly.
Within seconds Cass was struck in her stomach by someone's horn. "No, Dad!" Callie yelled. Cass let out a grunt before using her wings to quickly get to her feet and in the air. Snorting and looking angrily down at the unicorns. "What are you?" He yells. Cass refusing to respond. Callie jumps in front before he could strike her again. "Dad! She will kill you and everyone of us here if you don't turn back and leave." Callie pleaded.
He looked down at her. "You're a disgrace to this tribe. To this family. You know they're dangerous." He angrily said. Her eyes widen. "She's not dangerous. Not to me. All you have to do is be nice." She explained. Meanwhile, Cass was still hovering and glaring at her father. "Callie, I'm sorry I couldn't stop him." Gino said in fear. "Leave. This is your only warning." Cass said angrily. Gino and Callie stood in front of her.
"No." Gino said standing tall. Their father's eyes searched them trying to figure out why. "She's our friend. We protect our friends." Callie said. Cass still hovering. "She's an abomination. Why in all of the land would you protect her?" He asked. Gino and Callie looked at each other then back. "Would you do this to just a regular Pegasus? Or even another unicorn?" Callie asked. His eyes widen.
"No." He replied. "Because they don't look like her." He finished. Within a blink of an eye, he shot another blast at her hitting her wing but, the power disintegrated as soon as it hit. Everyone stood there in shock. Not sure of what to do next. That was the last straw and Callie knew it. Cass flew over their heads and began to shoot lava out of her horn. Purposely missing them. "Cass, no!" Gino yelled.
Cass landed in front of their father, her hooves burning into the ground. Her eyes, a flaming orange, staring right into his soul. "Callie, taught me not to be afraid. Taught me kindness. Taught me redemption. Now, if you want to kill me. You're gonna have to do a lot better than just some pansy magic out of your tiny little horn." Cass whispered. Their father stood there staring right back, unsure of what to do next.
"Dad, listen to her." Callie said softly. "I'm only giving you one chance. Because you're their father." Cass looks at the rest of them. "Because, you're all her family. If you want that to remain how it is, I would suggest turning back. Before your souls are consumed." She added. Their eyes widen and most of them turned back. Except five. "Don't be stupid. This will only get you hurt." She snorted at them. "Don't come back. You foals are a disgrace." Their father said before running back.
Cass turned away and started walking. Callie and Gino looked at each other then started following her. Cass quickly turned around and stopped them. "Why?" She asked. They seemed confused. "Why are you following me?" Cass demanded an answer. Gino swallowed hard before speaking up. "We are banned from our tribe. So you are stuck with us." He smiled nervously. Cass snorted. "I'm the reason you're both banned." She said.
"We know, Cass. But, they don't except you. We do." Callie spoke up. Cass remained silent and kept walking. "What do we do now?" Gino whispered to Callie. She shrugged. "I have no idea. She can't stop us though. She's our friend, no matter what."
