IT'S ALL FOR THE MISSION (Sasuke x Naruto)

Chapter 16

Naruto let out a muffled moan when his tongue brushed against hers.

It was intense... her first real kiss and fuck, it was everything. Her fingers gripped his hair pulling him closer... not caring about anything else for a second.

The kiss grew more passionate... his fingers exploring the curve of her spine, pulling her in even closer. Time seemed to slow down, their breaths coming faster and their lips moving together like they couldn't get enough.

Both of them were gasping for air when they finally broke apart, their faces flushed and lips swollen.

"Oh my..." one woman shrieked from the crowd, "Are they seriously doing this in broad daylight?"

"Guess they couldn't wait for the baby to be born," another mumbled under their breath earning a round of muffled giggles from the other villagers.

They jerked apart abruptly. Their eyes were drawing to the small crowd that had somehow gathered around them.

Naruto's face reddened. Sasuke, ever the composed one (except for the blush creeping up his ears) turned to the gawking villagers, his glare was enough to make them flinch. "You saw nothing. Okay?" And with that he grabbed Naruto's hand.

Naruto gulped and stumbled after him. Her brain was still processing the kiss and the mortification of being caught. The whispers and chuckles of the villagers followed them for a moment. She cringed peeking over his shoulder. "Ugh, This is so embarrassing"

The walk to Tazuna's house was really awkward. Neither Naruto nor Sasuke said a word, but they couldn't stop sneaking glances at each other when the other wasn't looking.

Tsunami opened the door with a polite smile. "Come in, you two!"

"Thanks, Tsunami-san!" she chirped, committing to her role.

Sasuke nodded stiffly. He followed her lead because, as much as this whole act made him uncomfortable, the mission came first.

Naruto fell in with Tsunami and Inari, chatting and laughing like the perfect lil housewife. Meanwhile, Sasuke got stuck with Tazuna. The old man was going on and on about construction plans and security measures. All Sasuke could do was grunt out a "hn" every now and then. But inside,

I kissed her. Like, actually kissed her.

He barely registered Tazuna mentioning something about load bearing beams. Sasuke's mind was going through an entirely different kind of crisis. Why didn't she say anything? She kissed me first, for fuck's sake!.... She always has something to say. She can't shut up for more than two seconds. But after that freaking kiss?

His lips twitched, What does it mean?

His mind suddenly flashed to the time he got curious about Kakashi's infamous "Make-Out Tactics". He'd read it once when he was 13.....mostly because he was trying to figure out why Kakashi was so obsessed with it and giggled while reading it.

The steamy scenes, the cheesy dialogues...he'd slammed it shut. It was kinda wild for a kid his age.

But one scene stuck with him. 'The female lead had kissed her childhood friend in the heat of the moment and they hooked up, only for her to wake up the next morning, call it a 'mistake' and....in the end....they didn't end up together'.

"Is that... what this is?" Sasuke whispered to himself. "Am I...Am I getting r-rejected?"

He clenched his fists, This is stupid as hell. Stop thinking about that dumb book, you idiot. He mentally sighed. 'You're a fucking uchiha--'
